Upgrade Reshade

looking to upgrade my reshade from the 2.0.3 version up to the new 4.8.2.

Downloaded and installed the new reshade but nothing seems to have changed in my game as it still recognizes the old version.

Do I have to uninstall the old version first and if so how do I do that.

Ok, you had same problem as me. I tried to simply download as an upgrade over the existing files in my game, but when I cranked up my game the yellow message AN UPGRADE IS AVAILABLE was still showing in the pop-up banner. I uninstalled everything Reshade from main game and installed it anew, and that seems to have worked...

Hi. I'm not sure what files/folders were installed in your main game by that older version of Reshade. In my game I have a folder reshade- shaders.. Reshade. Ini... Opengl32. dll... Reshade assistant.exe., and the Opengl32 log...
as in all things SAS.. Caution is the word when adding /removing files etc.. There is a post somewhere further back in this topic regarding the removal of Reshade..
