 I’ve just finished Sicily ’43 by James Holland. There is a passage about Macky Steinhoff of JG77. He flew from Sicily to Sardinia, and back. On the return journey to Sicily, he was overwhelmed by fatigue. So, he popped three Pervitin tablets. He didn’t realize they were methamphetamines.That caused him to have an out of body experience. Upon mentioning that to the MO, he was bawled out, and grounded for the rest of the day. Don’t try this at home.

When I worked for Gremlin Graphics, we had shipped in Jolt Cola.

At the end of a project we used to wash down a fe pro-plus with a bottle of Jolt cola.

Until it was banned.

Apparently a few people died from caffeine overdoses.

Fecking wimps ruining it for the rest of us

That jolt cola must have been pretty strong stuff. Snuff, if you've never tried it is as good for clearing your sinuses as strong cough mixture. I tried it in Korea.

The aunt of the von Stauffenberg kids was a lauftwaffe test pilot. She used to visit occasionally. The kids loved her Luftwaffe chocolate, which also had pervitin in it.

As far as I know, it was banned in Europe because a few people died of a caffeine overdose

Seems it is still on sale in limited areas , but they have reduced the caffeine level

If I'm in any of those areas, I'll buy a can, just out of curiosity. In the early 90s, people were joking about Coca Cola with etra caffeine. Then Mountain Dew appeared.
