The sky itself was on fire as we rose above the terror bombers and swooped down on them again. It was only that we ran out of ammunition that prevented the slaughter from being complete. We headed for home with no losses, our elation tempered by the knowledge that they'd be back in ever-increasing numbers, and that surely we'd had our lucky day...

They should look nice with some figures around them - I've just commissioned a talented colleague to make some village buildings for a backdrop. Some of those figures hint that armoured vehicles will turn up further down the line (they're in my stash waiting to be busted out - along with dozens of troops at rest).

It's all very much a work in progress that I should return to more often.

That Spitfire Mk.I starter set I did earlier in September. Airfix really mastered the shape and build, I look forward to seeing how she comes out with your modeling abilities.
