Will get.

The type 22 has a Tsu-11 Thermojet. It reaches ~ 460km/h but has a much longer duration, about 11 minutes of fuel. This allows for larger stand-off range.
Also it has a less wingspan so it fits between the gears.

Love them interwar birds... such a crazy experiment of trial and error... made for interesting planes.

I really love the Japanese and Soviet designs of the era.  Of course all the countries had their great designs, including the Americans, Brits, French, Italians, etc.

Yefim Gordon has a lot of good books on early Soviet aviation, and I love "Japanese Aircraft - 1910-1941" by Robert C. Mikesh and Shorzoe Abe.  Great insight into the technological advancements of the Japanese.
