Second mission on first page of this series, after trying it several times I found the only working tactic is to win as much height as possible in order to deal with the 109's, I got three kills, first one a 109. His wingman wounded me in the leg.



Second one another 109 tried to hit me head on but I  dodged him at last second, he lost his wing, I lost my rudder, but kept flying in order to sack another plane, this time a 111 and got back to base, wounded and with a damaged bird for one of my best sensations on Il2. Please Tore, keep'em coming!

Glad you had fun with this mission ! I'll try on making more in future but I've been mainly busy with other things, which that would be the main reason that I don't publish them daily.

Hi cestode. If you want full start up then there is a French version of Il2 1946 which I believe is called IES based on the original manuals, but I think it is mainly co-operative multi-player. Sorry I could not find the web link for you at present. Il2 GB and of course BAT can be full start up on the highest difficulty levels. As you say, getting a victory in those conditions is very satisfying.

Well done Tore on your regular contributions. Ask a busy man if you want something done. lol. Some of the most exciting missions Von and I created were scrambling while under airfield attack. Low level bombers with escorts or fighter-bombers are best but the programme can be awkward as the AI does not always fly properly at low level.

Always enjoy reading players mission reports and viewing the accompanying screenshots.
Lars did a couple and myself one for Sgt_Fresh's missions over at M4T.
I also liked the weekly competition reports at IL 2 Air Combat.

I took screenshots and was going to do a report for one of Tore's Hellcat missions the other day but decided not to go ahead, now I think I should of.

Does Il-2 actually tell you where you are wounded? I'm an expert at getting shot up and haven't noticed that.

It does, it's just that some planes have better cockpit protection than others.

Indeed, got wounded in the leg, bleeding, killed in one shoot...
