The Hungarians only had two single mountain corps aided to the German advance of Barbarrossa.
In Odessa fought Romanians, both sides didn't went well for obvious reasons. They stood at war prior to
Barbarossa. A personal clinch. Hungarians and romanians meeting up, didn't went well the Jerries soon
reallized or not how they wanted. The Hungarians were reluctant at any greater involvment, although
not parting staging areas or crossing further south with their neighbours. The Jerries than decided to put the Hungarians further north,
to the italian detachments, were they can't strike chaos.
Which is a rather poor addition. Although their advance was from Munkács
to Western Ukraine. I remeber Lwiw, Iwano-Frankiwsk, Czernowitz, Kamjanez-Podilskyj as their route
of advance.
Lwiw became a famous staging area.
But actions soon halted and troops were recalled home very early. Most notably of all
Hungarian action was some Air Force Detatchments which came into action very late, August/September.
Unknown to most, the Hungarian and Italian expedionary Air Corps shared airfields.
i.e. the famous Ruspoli Brothers

1941 in the Odessa region, as Ground Troops you could find only Romanian Soldiers.
If there were to be Hungarians, a fistfight over goulash kettles would have enraged and stopped the Jerries from
trying this again.
The Hungarians role in the Summer offensive 1942 was planned to be greater. Indeed it was.
My Grandpa served in Jánys 2. Army, general mobilisation took time. As training prior to fighting was imminent.
My grandpa had to travel like all Hungarians called for service in late 1941/early 1942 to Lyvow, where the HQ and Barracks
for infantry were. Training was undertaking there. Also any supply lines the Hungarians had with their Homeland was
going through Lyvow he recalled. Only hampered by the jerries reluctantly cutting off their Allies supplies.
Any Italian, Romanian, Hungarian Train housing vital domestic supplies was tracked and halted near the Boarders.
Further to the front German Trains had priority.
At least the Hungarians had vital Winterequipment in store and prepped as early as summer 1942.
But knowingly not any of the supplies reached the Frontline, not except Jerry's supplies.
