Tore can we request generic missions? For example, RAF Spitfire or Mosquito missions over Burma

Those are certainly good ideas! But I did already made a few Spitfire missions over Burma, and they should be somewhere in this forum.  ;)

Can you recommend any of these missions for a beginner? I'm still learning and still haven't found a good plane/mission that is at my level. I'm more interested in missions against weaker aircraft than ground attacks.

I would say probably aircraft that are easy to fly, such as a Yak or a Bf-109. But I may plan on making some more for both of them in the future.

The Yak-3 v IAR looks fun, although I always found the Yak-3 a bit lively, much preferring the Yak-9  ;)
FW190 v Sturmovik & Zero v British 1942 likewise.
I found the P-38 to be a nice ride, but don't know if our Tore  has done singles for it (he's done a campaign).

Great respect to the creators, I have tried several missions and they are really great. But it's already on 22 pages and I don't have much overview. There is a clear list of all the missions from Mr. Tore. Thanks a lot and I wish you all the best.  :)

Hi cestode. Welcome to the Il2 fraternity.

Tore's single missions are a good start to learning Il2 1946 and showing its different combinations. There are some good training missions available at the Mission4Today website which could help you develop your skills. BAT has around 10,000 single missions that you can add to the basic set up which should give you a large selection to try out. For an easy aircraft to fly especially in the early war years I would recommend the Bf109E4 or E7 in the Luftwaffe, or the B239 in the Finnish Air Force. The opposition are usually less experienced to start with. I first flew the B239 for the Finns between 1941 and 1943 in the stock campaign. By the 50th mission I could defeat most enemy aircraft, even the newer types. A campaign gives you more of an immersion than a single mission.

It also depends what difficulty levels you set yourself at the start. Some people prefer to start at the easiest level and work up to full difficulty but that way can lead to settling in a comfortable rut. You can come at the learning by starting at the deep end and setting the highest level straight away, then reducing the level to what you are happy with. A much tougher learning curve but more rewarding when you succeed with practice. There are many here who can guide you.

The BF109 seems to be recommended a lot, so I'll have to give it a try. My grandfather was an AA gunner for the Canadian army, so maybe Grampa will end up shooting me down (-:
I first started with the B-239, but I'll wait until WxTech finishes his tweaks.

Would you recommend anything from the US or RAF? I'm not sure if I'm ready to tackle carrier ops just yet.

I'm currently using full CEM because I'm going for a fairly authentic WWII experience (obviously a sim isn't exactly the same). If the pilots had to manage things like prop pitch and mixtures, I'd like to do the same. Also, I don't want to learn bad habits by having too much automated for me. I have even been reading old aircraft manuals and watching some training videos to get myself immersed. I have cheated a bit by turning on the aircraft labels, but I figure that's a reasonable compromise because the graphics aren't photorealistic. I'm still pretty bad at flying, but getting a kill with full CEM on gives me a rush unlike anything I've had in a game before.

I believe that most of my missions are dogfights & bomber intercepts, I mostly find both of them fun in my opinion. But I would probably make a few more airfield attack missions as well. I also should as well make some more bombing missions in the future, but the thing is I'm more of fighter type of guy myself..  :)
