I was also thinking on what could be done to swap out markings?
Sanka says
'creating new countries without changing markings is quite simple and doesn't require to edit class files' so it looks like swapping markings could be tricky, and
does involve class files presumably, about which I know zip.
But I've got in mind that there must be folders of 'decals' in Spooky's Markings and the like, and somewhere the code presumably points to whichever folder - so maybe by swapping the contents of folders in Spooky the code can be 'tricked' into putting up different markings?
The idea is to convert the Japanese Navy in DCG to North Korea - I've only ever been able to get Forgotten Countries to partially work in DCG (the way targets are assigned to 'blue' and 'red' gets a bit screwy) hence the need to 'convert' Japan. It's a bit experimental at this stage!
I don't
have to have new markings for my project, simply selecting marked skins for the campaign is a pretty decent 'workaround', but it's an interesting idea to 'swap' markings nonetheless.
I wonder what can be achieved by messing about with 'id = XX' ?
