Vorpx failing to install
« on: March 01, 2021, 04:19:48 PM »

I'm hoping I've started this topic in the right area.

I very recently purchased Vorpx at £34.37 to help run BAT on my Oculus Quest 2. My frustrating problem is after downloading the app I get an error message during the installation phase. This is the message:

Error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination file
MoveFile failed; code 5
Access is denied.

The Vorpx forum is for me, somewhat limited on providing a solution. Especially a solution that's easy to understand for an IT dinosaur like myself.

I would be eternally grateful (honest) if someone could shed a light into this mysterious dark room of technology.

Many thanks, B9

I do not think vorpx works with the Quest 2 yet. I couldn't get it to work either.

Many thanks Drewm3i for your reply.

I have since got Vorpx downloaded - my issue was Window Defender and Avast Premium running together. Avast was blocking the download.

I got IL-2 running with Vorpx but I've still got a bit of tweaking to do. Such as clarity of the image (fuzzy), putting flight controls on to Hotas, centring FOV etc. But apart from that all is good  ]thumbsup[

Up and running now - well almost. Need to sort out sound on Oculus plus a couple of other minor issues. Apart from that, all is good. BTW, I'm getting around 70+fps.
