Hughes H-4 Hercules
« on: March 11, 2021, 07:29:49 AM »

For the BAT v4.1.2 update I worked over Lone Wolf's H-4 Hercules model. Here is the release as stand alone.

I adjusted the waterline clips and remade the FM, so it does not spin in place anymore. With the help of Mike I added java code to simulate various loading scenarios from near empty to 60 tons fully loaded (default is a load of 20 tons). I also modified the cockpit a little bit, changed some graphics (turn your head and find out) and added some US-stlye instruments.

size comparison:

It is an actual ship, treat her as such. She needs an awful lot of way to slow down. It is advisable to only use the 4 inner engines (3 to 6) for taxiing and maneuvering

Known issues: Damage model has shortcomings.

The ole "Spruce Goose"  :D :D :D .... it is also nice to see the original creator of the model credited.

Many thanks to all concerned for this glorious monster and especially for a stand-alone version for all of us "Luddites" out there.

Greatly appreciated..  :)
