I'm enjoying my time spent working on the London dock area more than I thought I would. I have almost completed the whole dock area. This is the eastern most section.
I have used old photographs as a reference.

I initially decided at the start of the week to just use stock jetty placements, lots of them.

I then decided to create a 3d dock for this section just for curiosity sake.  I now have just one more 3d section to create to complete the four dock areas. :)

I removed my harbour model outside edge, which if left in place ruins the effect.

A wip representation of the palace grounds and Hyde park with a lovely

guided route up the Mall for the enterprising do17 pilot. Just watch

out for sgt pilot Ray Holmes (RAF) though, he has suicidal tendencies.

Created with the soothing sounds of Shostakovich playing in the background. ;D

Oh Man!
  I freaking LOVE Shostakovich!
If those performers had dressed that way, and performed in such a manner, while playing . . . let's say Bach, or later . . . even Mozart . . . what they are doing would be considered "vulgar". But it is SO appropriate with Shostakovich!
FIRE!!!

And I've never seen such detail in any map to date.
Beautiful! Like Shostakovich!

That was a partial version of Shostakovitch's 8th. Here is a full version of the 8th quartet also featuring the amazing Janine Jansen. :) I really enjoy the progressiveness of the Russian composers. Prokofiev is also a favourite of mine.

Thanks Pete! The rest of London  procceeds quite slowly . It's mostly placing blocks of objects and filling the gaps like a huge puzzle, then comes the tedious clearing of objects off roads and rail. I'm balancing this with the replacement of the current Biggin Hill with Canons airfield placements. I'm replacing Canons large low res runway and taxi plates with smaller ground plates.

I'm currently scratching my ww1 itch with ROF.

I've had this sim on my pc since 2009, and have only just recently purchased, on a steam sale, the aircraft needed to fly the stock campaigns.

When I originally purchased this sim I was quite pissed off when I discovered that I had to buy the aircraft needed for the campaign missions, and even more so when the game was later made a free download. ;D

I am enjoying the campaigns now though, great fun with community mods added.

Still working on this as time and enthusiasm allows.
I'm trying out GS Bob fields textures as well as a texture option. Most time is spent on airfields at the moment with Hendon as my current wip.
Here are screenies of Warmwell, MIddlewallop and Biggin hill.

I'm also converting some Cannon map campaign missions for use on this map. I've started with one of vonofterdingen's 303 campaign missions.

This is his 3rd mission, An imperfect engagement. Ive added barrage balloons and will later add some AA.

All looking great so far, this should be a popular map once done as it offers so much in detail and area for playability. 8)

Take care and be safe.

I decided to create some eye candy across the channel, creating some harbour, canal bank sections and stone rail and road bridges in the process.
 CALAISE 1940

I couldn't find 1940's recon aerial photos on the net, so I used this image as a guide along with some photos of bombed out harbour buildings which helped quite a bit.
