Hi mateys!
The base of the blister hanger should be off center but the orientation of the blister hanger is wrong. I added the hangers after I had completed the taxi areas. I remember that I did wonder about that one. I'll rectify it for the next update.

During object placement and reworking of airfields, some text labels were displaced or deleted. I replaced my work map's texts.txt file with the original map's file, so all labels should be present and in their correct places for the last update. Raf Northolt label looks fine on my map.

tunes for the day:

G'day Guys

Label issues all worked out, silly mistake at my end.

Men At Work's greatest hits is on high rotation at work.

Here's one to continue the theme.

Work continues on the map albeit at a slower pace than before. I am slowly working my way towards Dieppe.

Le Touquet

Berck-su-mer

Abbeville

Fixing these, caused by my noobish editing of the map_t.tga file. I now have a more effecient way of doing this.

Current listening:
This is one of my favourite pieces, Brahms symphony1 first movement, very dramatic with percussive strings. This clip has permanent residence on my desktop. Just listen to the damn thing, it will raise your consciousness. ;D

I haven't heard those two yet.  I'll search for decent performances on Youtube.

Thanks for the recommendation Peter.  ]thumbsup[

Two Aussie icons pass within days of each other this month. I had a schoolboy crush on both of these ladies.

The airfields are looking great, a big improvement.

I plan to do another mission involving the Whirlwind, but first I have to build an airfield at RAF Ibsley.

I had another song lined up but when I heard this the first time I nearly teared up (WUSS).

EDIT: Two Aussie legends famous all round the world.

This is one of those tunes that made me take up the sax. I was part of a function band, we played at corporate functions and weddings, this was part of our band repertoire. I still love this tune and Dire Straits. Michael Brekker played the sax part on the album. :)

Thanks for this clip, It was so nice to hear this again. ]thumbsup[

Dear Roger ,

A small correction - the town along the coast between Dieppe and Calais is
Le Touquet ,NOT Le Torquet.

Hi rogeroger. Great post tributes to Olivia and Judith, two of the best Aussie female singers.

I once met Olivia briefly when I was a gangly 16 year old. She and Pat Carroll were singing at a Sidney venue and they came to the bar during a break. My legs turned to jelly as she gave me that fantastic smile. After humming and erring I asked if I could buy her a drink but she politely said no, as she did to the other boys who asked. A moment I have never forgotten. A few years later I saw her in London supporting Sacha Distel. She was a little off form as she was worried about Bruce Welch of the Shadows who was in hospital at the time. Bruce wrote some of her early hits and he and Cliff Richard gave her a lot of publicity. She was always naturally grounded and certainly had the X factor. I still have the 45 single of 'If Not For You' plus the album with that iconic photo on the front. Sorely missed.
