Hi Everyone.

There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding about posting links to other IL2 sites, and what is allowed and what is not. This seems to be exaggerated by our human trend towards conspiracy theory, of which we are all guilty. We like to think in terms of feuds and wars between forums and groups. What we forget is, that this is a decades old GAMING community. Which means that, and some stage, every single group or person has fought with every single other one. About almost everything. That is the nature of things.

Everyone also eventually moves on and gets over it. We hope! 

We endeavor to never let such things interfere with the running of this community. We do fail sometimes, but we do try.

So I post this just to clarify things for everyone:

The only type of link, referral or mention, we do NOT allow (and never have and never will), and which will be removed by admins if noted, are links to places where you have to register an account to view it.

Links, referrals to, and mentions of, other forums and pages, which are open (like SAS) and which can be accessed and viewed by a visiting guest without having to register, are 100% fine.

And that is all there is to it! Very simple really.

my post was just to show it's easy to correct such things.
i know the big job sas site did for a long time to this game & thank's to all for your contribution

a) considering guest as well as registered user for content access is a proof of open/free mind & a good choice

b) oleg maddox open il2 1946 to mod , another proof of open/free mind & good choice

i'm sure this game would'nt become better & better with years like a good wine if he choose another way

so take fun , stay free , open to other & fly all around the world

for me it's with ubuntu 18.04 + WINE    + EDTracker + X52

Maybe re-think about adding a official Link to AAS for the same reason.

AAS turned down my Account there, I can't Login anymore.

I have seen some SAS Guys Accounts still active there, still I haven't received a notice
of what I have done wrong, nor any other Information. Prior to the sites redesign, I could login,
all well. One year later, boom, kaputt.

In my Simming career this is the 3rd kick-off/Ban from from one of our Cummunity Sites.
1. AAA 2008, 2. 1C 2008 and 3. AAS

All good things are 3, I know, but still I can't understand.

In that manner I hope this sends a destinctive letter at how we wish to handle things, free and open.

I don't think they banned you @AAS, but if you want I can ask.
Maybe just re-register your account?
I know that the site transition caused them all kind of database troubles, but there's some guy maintaining the technical part of the forums now who seems to know what he's doing.

an old message, but I would like to make one perhaps important comment here.

Unfortunately (for whatever reason) I only discovered this post now. At AAS (AAA) I was for a very long time to the "end".

Today I can log in with my account and see if there is still life in this forum. Unfortunately, I can hardly discover anything new there.

I assure you - and anyone who knows me knows bk is very argumentative - I was never warned at AAS and never banned.
