Tuy Hoa Air Base along the coast.  Plates mostly done, roads still working along, buildings still waiting.

Three more air bases along the coast before I start tackling Saigon (months and months from now).  Then I plan on reworking all the buildings in Hanoi and Bangkok to make things a little easier.

Slowly progressing and getting back into FMB.  Over the past couple weeks i've completed 3 more bases.  Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang, and Cam Rahn Bay.
All photos taken in BAT 4.2.2

Only 3 more "major bases" left.  Phan Rang, Tan Son Nhut, and Bien Hoa.  I'll probably add Bien Thuy as well.  I have continued to work on the cities so they aren't just a hodge podge of objects thrown around for clutters sake.

Nice maps, Geschirr!
Just to note about Cam Ranh...
Most of the port facilities and berths were located inside the bay. DeLong piers were remarkable structures.
The airfield was smaller and was located north of the port on the narrow part of the peninsula, between the lagoon and beach.
You probably are aware of that, so just in case...

Copy Dimlee.
I took the "artistic liberty" of functionality over actuality.
The runway would have been absurdly short and maybe capable of handling an O-1 or OV-10, not a fully loaded F-100.  The runway isn't too big, it's the map that's small.
I figured the port would have more play-ability to add moving ships around closer to the sea then in the bay where no movement could occur.
Korat and a couple other bases in Thailand I tried to go for near perfect accuracy, but after that I just focused on the runways/aprons/taxiways and just created what ever other facilities how I deemed fit.  There are a surprising lack of actual maps of American bases in South East Asia, let alone North Vietnamese.

Geschirr, you are right, of course.
I forgot that the map is not up to scale. Hope to see your map in BAT.

Thank you Whisey_Sierra.  Once I finish Bien Hoa and Tan Son Nhut i'll release an updated download link.

It will still be a long time before I am satisfied with everything.  I added a mountain airstrip (on the side of a mountain) in Laos, and I'd like to add a couple more for Air America missions.
Add aifields at Bien Thuy, Phnom Phen, Vientiane and a couple other places.

If anybody has any suggestions for other airfields/bases in SEA feel free to ask and include some photos.

I've been going through and fixing roads and rails, making them go around mountains and geography instead of going crazy over mountains.
I also added a somewhat more "realistic" area for the Ia Drang Valley (LZ-Xray) with a mountain and textures that looks pretty decent, not to scale, but looks good.

Fixing and adding textures, adding a lot of forest since it is SEA and jungles were very prevalent compared to how they currently.

I deleted the hodge podge of cities like Hanoi and Bangkok to start anew with more "realistic" aesthetics instead of throwing objects around just to populate an area.

Hopefully I'll be finished with all the major air bases and have to new link by spring time.
