Thanks, Tobias. Radar now works fine in both Hudsons in BAT.

Following the Discussion in this Thread I'll propose the work on Barneys more recent D,E,F,G has commenced.

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,68325.0.html

I didn't had that more recent Mod on the Radar. Apologies.

I still have the Russian Upgrades pending, so it's shuffled the next stuff on my List.
Before a Coastal Commnd Upgrade, I'll post the necessary Files for that original Mod.
The Coastals I have to redo from scratch, that's sth. longer project.

Best wishes

Yeah, my crap try at sth. I can't do better.  8)
Funny name btw.

Good News on porting, the 2nd Update of DEFG is running in the CC configs.
Now I'm about testing the Java. Tiny hier.him retouching to get some Aerial configs right.
Means from what I see the CC Fortresses don't miss a thing, instead got upgraded.
But for 2 of the Models I have to find a way to include the G-Type Dome on the Nose.
That was a late feature on everything that came from the later E and F-Series in Coastal Command.
The early goes without. The rest must get it. I'll try some tinkering.

When that is out, we are not done. There's an easter egg in these new Fortresses. Thaks to Barney for his forework, planting the Idea.

OKay, next step an entirely new Upgrade we call it 2.0 or sth. must update Screenies, feed my cat, do the Java, Paperwork.

Best wishes

Fortress Mk.I/D of the Coastal Command Development Unit, later 220 Sqn., AN537 NR-W.
Represents the first of the initial 2 Radar Fortresses of CC.

The Slot and Plane is ready, next stuff is Detail work to get this into shape.
Enabling 4 external Stores, correct aerials etc.

Radar is enabled, as for the others.

Except for top mast aerial mapping this is it.
The first recorded Radar Fortress Mk.I with Mk.II ASV Radar, here showing the RAF external racks in a pair of tandem hanging.
US Fortresses used a pair of Tandem Racks closer to the wing leading edge for their 500/1000/2000/4000
extended payloads. US Forces didn't used them very often, as it rendered a decrease in operational Radius.,
was used in ETO and PTO on shortrange Missions.
While the Coastal command came to adopt the idea, by finding the Wing suitable to store even more,
which added to the Bombbay and if only externals used, increasing the combat radius significantly.

Preparing the Release, the D-E-F-G Familly Upgrade fits. It'll be a open Beta for reason.
As I still have an Upgrade to go. Will tell what it's about if I get that coconut cracked.

We have a 3.0 Version out and posted at First Page.

This is based on Barneys 2nd D-E-F-G Mod Pack Release.
It was made fit. Had to tinker a bit to cure some stuff.

Eventually it is running, if you Post Errors, I need a Log, pictures
and strange Bla Bla I can't decipher, say it short, precise, so I can understand.
LOg, Log, Log, spare yourself Screenshots, they are not that important, but Log is.

Enjoy your Weekend

Subscribed to your site and gave the first "thumbs up". Well done!

Unfortunately I could not (although registered with Google) post on this page.

The B-17 looks great!

From here, first of all, thanks to Barnesy.

Lebig, how long had I not seen or heard from him. The good old AAA, AAS site!

Lebig helped me on a few projects so far, at this,
and even at the PBY Catalina familly. He pushed these projects
very far with his work.

Thank you Gerhard.

Recognition Help at Hudsons in Coastal Command.

You'll notice Ventral Turret, Spinner, exhaust differences, they make indentification
of Marks complicated. Allocation must be done through Serial Range.
As you can see all Marks went through different retrofitting, modifications,
in Factory or at Service.
This means there's no definite CC Variant for IIIA, V and VI.
Every fitting is possible, Flame dampers or not etc.

Mk.IIIA early

Mk.IIIA modified for ASV role (here FK747)

Mk.V

Mk.VI*

* Wikipedia cited it as FY689, Hudsons never saw a FY... prefix, this is FK689 in Mk.VI Serial Range

A small Upgrade 3.1 is online

corrected Plane & weapons.properties for Hudsons

Since I left out some historical Skins, I will do some small tinkering to
ship a few Hudsons for these Slots. Will be a handfull, as only a few Pictures exist.

Best wishes
