ATTACK ON OKINAWA ~ Part 1 ~ F4U Corsair

The battle of Okinawa was known to be the largest  amphibious assault in the Pacific Theatre of WWII which had sent in 40 US Carriers and 18 US Battleships, the bombings on the island began on the 23rd of March. (Just only 3 days before the ending of the battle of Iwo Jima). Until the full invasion began on the 1st of April 1945.

Part 2 will come soon. (Hopefully)

We're in our 5th lockdown here in Melbourne.
Been playing your missions this weekend (most play fine using VP Modpack).
I'll finish downloading BAT this week and start on your campaigns.

On a different matter, how noticeable is the stutter when aircraft spawn during missions on your PC?

Not sure on what you mean about the "stutter". But I'm sure the spawns on the carriers are working fine, it's just the only annoying part is when the 2nd flight takes off from the carrier  it just firstly flies around the carrier (If I made that statement correct) and it would take a while to reach the 1st flight. But at the end of the day it's not that much as an issue!

Yeah mate I could of explained myself a bit better.
I notice you spawn enemy aircraft in a mission generally close to target.
This makes a big stutter on my PC.
This is why a lot of mission builders have enemy aircraft sitting on the airstrip (delayed start) or patrolling right from the start of the mission.

Oh yeah, that usually happens to me when my PC freezes for a split second or 2. But I thought it wouldn't be that much of a problem despite me using auto pilot until I reach the target. On my last mission the enemy aircraft were a little too close to the US Ships which caused flak to burst out. My PC isn't really strong enough to handle many flak which will cause the game to lag.  :-X

Thanks to you and the guys involved. First of all, you have a very good sense of the picture. The selected section emphasizes the drama. The Mission ... I love the Pacific Air War. Your mission makes me curious.To Corsair ..... she's my baby. Even if it kills me more than my enemies. She is like a woman you hate and love. She is your downfall. If I would be allowed to choose an airplane, which is a real devil and easy to flay, it would be Lagg 5/7 But I don't want to play in a fairy tale but as it really was.
Important question. Can I install the mission in red core? What should be considered?

Surely, I'm sure it would work. I as well use Red Core with 4.1.3, but I never bothered to download DOF, TGA, and TJW.

Hi Tore. Okinava runs in RED CORE. I unpacked / pushed it into MISSIONS / WAW / UN /. I'm still missing the technical terms. And then I looked in and played the last Mission16 and then just looked at it again. I think this is the most insane air battle I've ever seen. For the first time the feeling that is authentic. Like an original documentation. God what a slaughter. You built it ingeniously. My pulse was 130. I'm really excited about the 2nd mission. How do you want to top that. Thank you Tore because you delivered a masterpiece. Many thanks also to the guys who modded the landscapes and planes. Can't get enough of me
