"Allies" in the air
« on: August 07, 2021, 10:26:35 AM »

This event is described on pages 106-108 of a book published in my country.
An excerpt for those who have not read it: The Russian-American skirmish continued for quite a while and was very acrimonious. Erich saw three falling Yaks and one Mustang moving away to the north, gushing glycol.

It is hard to believe that the pilots of both sides could not tell the difference between the white or red stars and the Luftwaffe crosses.

G'day Yaro59

This sounds interesting!
Right up my alley, I love these little known encounters and oddities.

                Hi genXgamer
To rework the sixth edition of the campaign - the Battle of France, or the Battle of Britain, although the Second World War began a year earlier and the Luftwaffe suffered not small losses in Poland, a bit shaky.
And there were many such little-known air events.
If the game allows it, I have fun.

Yaro59:

This mission made me realize how the 109 G10 be deadly when used against the opponent planes. Nice made campaign and thanks for sharing. Hope to see more of your works.. ;D

                                           Hi sgt. wingspan
Unfortunately in FMB there are only two options, red and blue. The Soviet as blue is missing, so I was left to build it as it is.
And with the rest in this period of war no one expected to see the Luftwaffe aircraft, and Hartmann made the most of it.

I found this incident on page 171 of my volume of the book.  Thank you for the mission!
