That is a great news to hear.  After flying IL-2 1946 for a while, I realized there are still more fixing to do with the aircraft list too.  Now I have more reasons to restore working on this project.

 There are just a few new planes, not like starting the list all over, I would hope.
Thanks again, for fixing it so I know right where to scroll, and can see all AC which relate
to my plane's year, make, nation(s) used by . . . etc.

I have added some 80 aircraft into my BAT 4.2 install that are not included in the install itself.

Some are new releases, but a not inconsiderable number are older mods that were not incorporated into BAT 4.2.

This is a very useful list, especially the Spitfire classifications. Spitfires were indeed an almost meaningless jumble of names that meant little in terms of combat roles.

I was wondering if there is any way of identifying Spitfires that were modified for tropical use, as was done with some Hurricane mods?

Hello everyone,

I am sharing the progress with the mod project.

It turns out I messed up with the full vs lite installation.  I fixed by restoring aircraft naming for Yak-1B and A6M variants.  At the same time, I also realized that A6M list are too chaotic like Spitfire. So I made the changes to it by grouping each A6Ms by original, JCAT, Rabual, and FM.



It look much better, like with the Spitfire list.  By the way, I can not remember which another 3 aircraft that needs proper names.  That is where I need help from the community by giving me feedback on aircraft list.  If there is any aircraft names missing or aircraft being in wrong place in the list, I am more than happy to fix it.

Now that BAT v4.2 (patch 2) aircraft list is fixed, I am now working on upgrading mod to BAT v4.2.1 standard.

Oh boy , looks like there are a lot of new aircraft.  More planes there are, the merrier!

There is one thing I want to share what I noted.  I will no longer work on "Lite" version.  The reasons is becasue with the many changes going on for each version, having "lite' version is impractical.  I rather to keep a full list of aircraft that is offered by BAT.  That way, when tehre are changes, I can quickly adjust to it.

The next version of this mod will only offer full version of each era aircraft.  I am now working on other era.

The new version v1.5 for BAT v4.2.1 is now out.  I made the decision to make the changes:

1) The mod will allow you to enable an alternative aircraft list for all era in one click, instead of enabling each of era.

2) I no longer do "Lite" version anymore.  I intend to have list display all aircraft that is available in BAT.

3) I no longer will maintain the older version of this mod, the links for earlier version of BAT are removed.  I just found out DOF aircraft list is messed up. I didn't realize I accidentally removed tags for nations for each grouped aircraft.  Fortunately I still have the format from v1.2 and restored it in v1.5.

You should have all polished aircraft list for all era.  From now on, I will focus on v1.5 and onward.  As always, the feedback are appreicated.  If any of you find any problems with the list, let me know too.

I'm on Win10 and while I can download the file, it won't open. Other files with the same .rar extract fine. Am I missing something?

Good morning! 

I used winrar to compress the file and uploaded it.  You can use any extractor tools, including winrar.  If you can't open it, tit means you don't have any extractor for it.

Try downloading and installing winrar:

I just realized I missed your post and sorry for the late reply.  I have been wondering about that too.  Prehaps, if I add tag -TROP- to it, it would let us know which certain aircraft have Trop version? 

If you have any another ideas or suggestion, please let me know.

I am looking into this for BF 109s, Hurricane, and Spitfire.

It also would be great help if someone can give me the list of which certain aircraft have trop too.
