Ju-88A-4 torp crashing game after loading mission.
« on: September 20, 2021, 11:30:03 PM »

I am having a problem with the Ju-88A-4 torp crashing the program. I am using IL-2 1946 4.12.2M with SAS 5.30. The game loads my torpedo practice mission, loads the mission up the 100% loading screeen then crashes out the game.  It appears from the log that there is a problem with the cockpit and the "Z_Z_RETICLE1" There was a fix back in 2010, but the link is no longer available.  The Ju-88A-4 Torp is included with 4.10 on in the program and not a mod per se.

I check and all works well in BAT, but I like to write my missions and practice in 4.12.2M and them copy it to BAT.
Any help would be appricated.

apparently your mod 3do is missing that mesh (at least)...

This sounds extremely cumbersome and strange. Why not make missions directly in BAT?

Where would I find the 3do for the sight as the plane was included in the 4.10 and later editions and there is not a listed or identifiable mod, which I think is in the SFS files or some other location.  I have not tackled java yet, so am at a loss to solve the problem.

This...
Code: [Select]
java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: bChangedPit
at com.maddox.il2.objects.air.CockpitJU_88A4torp.reflectWorldToInstruments(CockpitJU_88A4torp.java:332)
...is a Java issue.
Some additional mod installed replaced the "JU_88NEW" base class with some other version which is incompatible.

Thanks Mike, I supected that, I have the Ju-88-4/torp working in my 4.12.2 VP SAS and am working backwards to find the problem in my SAS straight 4.12.2.
Thanks for the confirmation.
