133 parachutes yet no one left to tell the tale.
Here's the stats by the way: https://www.sas1946.rocks/up3test/missionDetailsSorties.php?id=1580058130&sort=2
Fun fact: Rickster and Spüli got -400 points each, I went out at 0, pleading innocent.

I stopped attempting to be in the Top 10, let alone Top 20 of the scoreboard. :))

But yeah, I wonder, if I didn't warn Dish, you'd have collided, albeit a little later, I think I spooked Dish and he pulled way too hard, I should have dove and banked earlier but didn't recover in time... AAAAAAAA. That was hilarious and I will ever forget that sortie. :))

Next milestone for big formations.
So far it's been a try&error game to get the positions for all flights of your squadron right (x/y and altitude) when trying to join them together to a squadron flying in formation.
All flights would eventually reach the right position in the formation after some time, but they would spawn wherever you put them on the map, in the direction of the next waypoint and at speed and altitude set by the mission maker.

Things are a tad easier now.
Northing changes for formations joining somewhere along their way after spawning.
However, you can now create a big formation by simply setting the path for the lead flight, and add up to 3 further flights to it.
If you join these flights to the lead flight right on their first (spawn) waypoint, they will automatically be put in the right slot (x/y, altitude, direction and speed) so the whole formation spawns smoothly.
Of course, you can (optionally) add further waypoints to such flights if you wish to, but if you just want to have one big formation staying together for the whole mission, you don't need to anymore.

Wow, this sounds terrific - if we only had this a few years in advance ;D

Further Hotfix 20 WIP teaser:
Fighters can form big formations up to 16 a/c now as well.
So far, fighters would always act as fighter cover when getting attached to another flight.
With Hotfix 20, the logic changes slightly:
Fighters will still provide fighter cover per default, but under certain circumstances, they will join a formation instead:
If both flights are fighters and both flights have the same kind of loadout, e.g. both have bombs or rockets, or both don't have any bombs or rockets, then they will form a big group instead of attempting to give cover for each other.
Hope that makes sense...

Further Formation stuff.
"Straight In" Formation landing.
I've never seen that working well in any game version before, and dare I say: I think I know "why" by now :P
Nonetheless, problems are there to get solved.
4 days ago my code worked well on the 16xB-17 formation, just to see that the same thing won't work with B-24s ;D
3 days ago it was working for B-24s, but the crucial test with B-36s ended up in complete mayhem.
Back from reworking the anti-collision code from scratch, I think I'm safe to say that it's as good as it gets now.

16x B-36F combat box formation rectangle pattern with straight-in landing, note how it takes exactly 2 waves now to get all planes on the ground.

Is there a possibility of adding the formations and runway plates to BAT at some point?

Runway plates are already in BAT.

Yes, BAT has runway plates but not like these new ones from Storebror. If I understand correctly these are flat at the ground level, unlike the old ones. Planes fall off the edge of the old ones, like aircraft carrier decks placed on the ground.
