Alright, found it.
It's the "computeReliability(float)" method in the "Motor" class.
That's stock code, introduced with 4.10.1, so the same thing happens in DBW, BAT etc.

The method randomly applies damage to engines if the "reliability" difficulty setting is used.

Fun fact: This is the only thing where the "reliability" difficulty setting applies at all.
Other than this single spot, we only artificially use it on Fw 190 V13/18/32 prototypes to generate additional random engine failures.
What I'm gonna do is to disable this difficulty setting on our FAC gameserver straight away.

About jet engine failures, just to bring my anecdotal evidence in.
Meteor - a few times in BAT, never in UP but I hardly flew it in UP.
Go 229 - a rare bird for me, can't say much.
F-84G1 - happened a few times in UP, never in BAT. The reasons were not understood, probably my errors.

Me 262 - now, this is interesting... The last time I had real trouble with it was when it was introduced in Il2 and I had to adapt my engine management skills. After that, there were no engine issues which were not related directly to the wrong throttle operation. Nervous movement, joy stick stuck, mistakes when switching between the engines, etc. Many, many flights in stock game, BAT, Ultrapack. Some experience in HSFX. One of my favourite a/c which I flew online whenever it was available on a map and in plenty of offline missions.

The tail wheel of the Supermarine Attacker cannot be locked .
Is it regular or is it an anomaly ?

It seems that the cockpit of the Supermarine Attacker has been borrowed from a soviet cockpit .
So , are the gauges displaying imperial or international units ?

Anomaly on the Curtiss SC-1 .

On external view , the antenna is at the top of the canopy .

But in cockpit view , the antenna is on the front hull , on the left side .

The tail wheel of the Supermarine Attacker cannot be locked.
Confirmed and fixed in the next Patch/Hotfix.

Metric/International.

Anomaly on the Curtiss SC-1.
On external view, the antenna is at the top of the canopy.
But in cockpit view, the antenna is on the front hull, on the left side.
That's because the plane itself has its own 3D, but the cockpit is borrowed from the SB-2C.

This is the F-51 D-30 NA, 1944.
In its cockpit, among the ennemy planes list under the gunsight, there is the FW-180...
Confirmed and fixed in the next Patch/Hotfix.

Thanks for the reports.

Thanks !
it would be nice if this feature could be available in Cassie .

I have discovered that we can use a static plane as a spawn point in Ultrapack Cassie, only it is not in the list of static planes, but rather it has its own category in the list of objects, it is the SpawnPlaceholder. I have tested it and it works perfectly well.

Thanks !
But if you put the SpawnPlaceHolder on a regular Home Base , you get an error message :

So you have to use the " Home Base - Stand Alone " object and it works :
