Hello everyone,

I am currently testing and tweaking Reshade.  For now the only thing I enabled is HDR.  (The advice on Reshade setting are much appreciated here.)

I am mind-blown after realizing I made a mistakes by using BAT DLL 02 when there are BAT DLL 03 (High Poly + 4096 x 4096 HD texture).  After starting using BAT DLL 03 along with GE (Graphic Extender) and Reshade, IL-2 1946 have became a greater simulation visually.

I haven't tested it with Oculus Quest 2 VR yet.

Here are screenshots.  I am still learning more about various setting in Reshade:

After doing further testting of Reshade with HDR + AdaptiveSharpen + MagicBloom, the results is looking good so far!

Day time

Night time

Note: I couldn't captuure the bloom effects when firing cannons at night. It looked great.  For now, I will show screenshot of Ta 152's inside cockpit with cockpit lights.

Hi,

As far as reshade settings go, I also use HDR, adaptivesharpen and also lumasharpen. Plus I found that deband helps reduce concentric rings that I see sometimes when flying over the sea. That might just be my monitor though and I don't use GE.

Regards,

M

Thank you for the advice! I will try lumasharpen.

I recommend you trying "MagicBloom" in reshade.  At the same time, I also recommend you try GE if you can.

Cheers

I will, thanks! Last time I tried GE the FPS hit was too much, will try it again for sure.
