I've been messing about with some scenarios for the Arab-Israeli 1948 war.

Does anyone have any more Israeli skins for a T-6 Texan, I thought it'd be interesting to see them in action in the close air support role.

Thanks, I checked out the link, some of the skins were alright but most of them were to the wrong scale.

There are at least two different 3d models of the texan around. Their skins are not interchangable.

We know such Mess at Campaigns which deliberately cramp Skinpacks together,
sometimes they give fake Skinfolders too,
So be aware not to load every Mission Builders brainfart straight into your Game.
Trust is good, control is better.

The issue is confusing when you end up having 5 Bf109 F-4 Skinfolders used up, contrary to your Air.ini's content.

Fixing once and for all, open your Air.ini and load the Game, open Skins Folder in a seperate Window,
make necessary Folders at Desktop, then wade up each and every Skin, allocate the Models, Skinfolders,
and start sorting it out.

If you fail to allocate a Skin example, go to Cache and load the Default Skin from there, peeping at it's content.

Yes, as Vampire wrote, it depends what 3D model of the aircraft you have in your game installation.
Skins are not, unfortunately, suitable for every 3D model. There are quite a few.
Very well written Knochenlutscher, probably the only way to sort out the mess with skins.

... or, just look at the skin .bmp files with any graphics program and sort them?
There are exactly two layouts to sort for two 3d models here. Then test which layout works with which model in the game and sort the skins to the respective folders. Done.

There versions armed with overhead gun trays were used
For this 3D model these skins fit.

Yeah and these skins do not work on his 3d version (the one with the tear shaped antenna) as you can see in his screenshots

There is an Israeli skin for the T-6 version that Tangmere is using. The skin is by 242 Sqn-CAT from a Jester template.The skin folder for skins for that version of the T-6 is "T-6_Texan_Trainer"
