As suspected, for all their faults, there's life in the old Tamya dogs yet.  :)

Yet again, matt white undercoat, 'wet' flesh and Citadel flesh wash. That's it. Stating the obvious, if the detail isn't there, it won't show up - but it really is that easy.

Things are going to look a bit messy for a while - they don't look finished until they're finished, but I'm liking the way they're coming along. Convincing rabbit fur on the Dragon fugure's going to be a challenge though.

Thanks for dropping by - more adventures in anatomy soon.  ;)

Tonight's update. Letting the figures do most of the work, they're coming along nicely, maybe 'scruffy' rather than 'messy' now  - although I could have done a tank in the time it's taking.  ;D

I recently discovered Army Painter washes - as good as Citadel/Games Workshop and much, much better priced. Between the 'Military' shader and 'Light' tone, I drybrushed the original uniform colours then drybrushed those colours with added white. Between 'Light' and 'strong' I painted in a few more details (boots and equipment). Then I just let the 'strong' wash do its' thing...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more saddled-up shenanigans.  ;)

Good morning, groovers!  :)

Have been busy touching in, highlighting and shading, getting where I want to be - it's nearly time to slap some paint on the horse...

Well...off to town for supplies, back soon with with more  horsey hullabaloo  ;)

Cheers, old chum - looking forward to watching it.  ]thumleft[

Quite a restrained performance in the model shop today... ;D

Another antique offering available at a knock-down price, I figured the 'doorknocker' would make a nice companion piece to the KV-1/2.

...and these dudes might look nice strolling past a late war panzer - I'm willing to be corrected on when gaiters became commonplace.

Some paint on the horse at last. It won't be so 'red' by the time I've finished...

Meanwhile, I've been dusting off and restoring a Tamiya 1/48 Sherman Firefly...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more miniature madness.  ;)

Reduced to stealing brief moments between night shifts. Quite a bit more to do, but here's how the 'orse is coming along...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with another daring despatch.  ;)

You have a way with horses. :)  Dobbin looks damn good with the shading and matt finish. Its wierd that now the proportions don't look so bad, must be something in my coffee this morning. ;D

Thanks for kind words, old chum.  :)

I know what you mean about the proportions looking better now - yeah, weird.  ;D

Should get it finished tomorrow, then I can think about some sort of base...if I don't bust another tank out.

Good evening, groovers!  :)

The whole ensemble matted down, ready for basing and final touching-in. I *think* I'm going to treat this dude as a stand-alone and texture the base he's been on all the time...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with a final floral flourish.  ;)
