Very much a work in progress, here's how the base is coming along...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more North African naughtiness  ;)

A little further down the line. Crushed grass in Tiggy's wake and sand packed in to tracks. A couple of dead bushes added, Next step will be ripped up grass and flowers caught in the tracks - that *should* make Tiggy look like part of the environment, rather than just plonked down on a desert base...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more flattened foliage  ;)

Found during yet another Google search, I think this is another '131'.

With my morbid fear of ruining it all at the last minute, that turned out better than I expected. Getting close to the finish line...

Thanks yet again for dropping by, back soon with more big cat bedlam  ;)

A final dusting of weathering powder and a final spray of matt varnish (all those nylon tufts look less, er...nylony now), radio aerial glued in and I'm calling this one done.  :)

As ever, an interpretation rather than a replica, I'm fairly happy with the result (bloody awful step under spare tracks aside - I might return to that when a suitable piece of plastic comes to light).

Thanks for looking, back soon with more festive fun & frolics  ;)

It's tiddler time again!  ;D

Old Zvezda kit in a new Revell box, entailing much carving, shaving and filing. I picked it cheap as the box was was damaged. I'm wondering how many World of Tanks gamers have been put off modelling for life by this little beast...it ain't no shake & bake...

Constantly interupted with well-meaning visitors today. Too tired to face those little link & length tracks tonight.  ]sleepy2[

Having looked at how poor the supporting struts for the handrail antenae are, I've decided - just like the Red Army - to do do away with it. The early war crew figures are from Zvezda, nicely detailed. Who needs a wireless when you've got signal flags?  :P

Thanks for looking, back soon with more semaphore shenanigans  ;)

Season's greetings, chums! I hope you're all having a good one and Santa brought you something nice.

Well, looks like I'm in for a busy day cleaning-up and assembling all those link & length tracks - most ungroovy! Just a phase I have to go through on the way to the more enjoyable painting stages. Funny thing is I built the flamethrower variant of this kit years ago, and was very taken with it - one of the reasons I picked this Revell re-box up. Maybe my eyesight and manual dexterity were better then.  ;D

On a brighter note, my nephew got me a very thoughtful Chrimbo prezzie - another old Tamiya kit that should look the part once built. Stug-tastic!  :)

Thanks for dropping by - back soon with more festive fiddliness  ;)

At the risk of sounding arty-farty, I see those side skirts as a blank canvas.  ;D

Meanwhile, halfway there with the T-26 tracks. The cuss-o-meter's gone off the scale. Ended up ignoring the instructions and going my own way. At least the remaining side shouldn't take as long now I've worked out how to do it.

Top tip: If you just have to have a cheap T-26, and ever take this kit on, buy the original kit, or at least download the original Zvezda instructions available at Scalemates.

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more foul-mouthed fun & games  ;)

Boy, am I looking forward to some good old-fashioned rubber band tracks!  :P

Not much more to do now, should get the first coat of paint on it tonight.

Thanks for dropping by, back soon with more light tank lunacy  ;)
