That's the build finished.  :)

I can forgive the kit its' faults for looking like a T-26 once finished, but wouldn't recommend it to anybody thinking of dipping a toe into this modelling madness. I'll give it all time to set before getting the rattle can out. The noticeably bigger, healthier-looking crew figure (nice touch) has had his right hand cut off and stuck back on to rest on the turret, rather than karate chopping it - I think he was originally intended to be holding on to an early T-34 suitcase hatch, to be fair.

Thanks for looking, back soon with another Red Army rumpus  ;)

Paint on and a first highlight. Currently waiting for a gloss overspray to dry before shading, and rummaging through the spares box for tow chains and tarpaulins, maybe some decals...

Thanks as always for looking in - back soon with more plain green goodness  ;)

Several more applications and she's starting to look used and abused...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more plastic on parade  ;)

Here's where we're at. Still a fair bit to do, mainly on the tracks. Funny little kit - the siren's hollow and the main gun's solid...

Thanks for dropping by - back soon with more miniature mayhem  ;)

Thanks very much, old chum.  :)

Well...the tank's just about there, just a little more work on the tracks and some touching in. I'll rearrange the chain later, but you get the idea, I'm sure.

I think I'm going to wait for some natural light tomorrow before doing the crew figures. I did find some decals, but I quite like the look of it unmarked - maybe I'll change my mind in the morning.

Anyway, here's as far as I got tonight...

Thanks for dropping by, back soon with more miniature maintainance  ;)

Barring a few touch-ins I'm bound to spot later, I think that's definitely it for the tank...she's a bit shiny at the moment, will give the whole ensemble a good squirt of matt varnish once the crew are in place.

I've been called back into work - so the next update mighbt be a few days coming.

Thanks for looking in - back soon with more figure painting fun  ;)

Right! Back to it.  :)

I wasn't expecting much from older Zvezda figures, but they've turned out nice. Awaiting a final matt varnish at the moment.

I've had an idea for a simple little diorama, the base is currently drying out, meanwhile I'm trying to figure out how to hold some small pieces while I paint them.

Thanks for looking in - back soon with more miniatures on manouvres  ;)

Time for a last look for glaring errors and touch-ups before final varnish and basing. Oddly enough, I'd take this kit (or variants) on again, sure - it's not cutting edge, but I like the way it's turned out. Likewise the figures which have certainly added to the whole effect.

O.K.  Let's wrap this one up.  :)

Remember these guys?

I've put them to work in a little scene I call 'local intelligence'...

Thanks yet again to all who looked in - I'm going to have to surrender the modelling table for a while, but I'll be back soon with more Stug-tastic modelling madness  ;)

Long story short, my mother was discharged from hospital early and I never had time to clear the table...she had to accept it. Anyway, remarkably neat and tidy by my standards...

...time for some hot Stug action, I reckon.  ;D

Stay tuned, groovers.  ;)
