Here's where we're at. Pretty sure I could have got the build finished in a day if not for regular interuptions.

The working suspension took a while, no real issues with fit of parts so far, although mightily frustrated by no part numbers on sprues - constantly referring to sprue map on instruction sheet.

It might be the colour or as yet unattached parts, but it seems a little 'chunky' to me...

Thanks for looking in, back soon with another rubber-tracked rumpus  ;)

This is one of the kit's colour scheme/decal options - until I found this pic I was very suspicious of the LCD pocket calculator style number 8. Shows what I know... ;D

Slower progress than I'd planned. Still, looking the part now - just a matter of fixing hull, mudguards, lights, tools and stowage. Despite Italeri's best efforts to discourage me, a presentable result is on the horizon (it's all in the paint job  ;) ).

Anyway, delayed yet again by constant interruptions, here's how it's looking at the moment...

And there she is built.  :)

Needed surgery to get the rear mudguards to fit. The figures have aged well, although I gave the commander a Tamiya arm to improve his pose. One of the doubled up figures, he was originally bent over rolling an oil drum.

I'll give everything a chance to set before getting the rattle-can out.

Thanks for looking in - back soon with another colourised conundrum  ;)

Well, chums - the first coat of paint's on. Looks better already.  :)

I'll be going for this scheme, which may be a flight of fancy on Italeri's part. Could be fun as I'm going to have to paint the panzer grey backround before applying the turret decals and carefully outline the numbers in yellow.

Thanks as always for looking in - back soon more modelling madness  ;)

Looking a little scruffy, but we're getting there - I'll touch-in around the numbers under natural light...

Thanks for dropping by, back soon with more plastic panzer pandemonium  ;)

Tidied up, first coat of Klear. Not looking too bad for a a 50 year old...although to be fair to Italeri, they've quietly corrected some initial errors over the years.

Should get the wheels done and start some weathering tonight...

Thanks for looking in - back soon with another blast from the plastic past  ;)

I got distracted. Scrubbed up well for an oldie, as hoped...

Quite a way to go, but starting to look how I imagined it. A mug of tea while the tracks and wheels dry out, then it's time for a squirt of matt varnish before a good dusting with weathering powders. I'm sure I've got a historically authentic Afrika Korps palm tree decal knocking about I should have used...ho-hum, I won't draw attention to it if you don't.

Just about done, I'm currently rummaging around for some extra stowage - never a pith helmet around when you want one, is there?

Thanks for looking in - back soon with more accessorised adventures  ;)
