A little progress. Decals on and first stages of shading, blending and weathering. Still a long way to go, but I've got some time to myself over the next few days...

Thanks for looking in, back soon.  ;)

Looking messy and shiny at the moment. Building up and washing off layers of mud. It's still a way off, but the end is in sight...

Thanks as ever for looking in. More soon.  :)

And there she is done.  :)

Final verdict: a very nice kit with no problems except the sheer size of the thing. All good practice for the King Tiger, which shares the same chassis. I did manage to break off the anti-aircraft mounting pole on the engine deck, but looking at photo's, it would seem so did real Jagdtiger crews - and I'm sticking to that excuse.  :P

Thanks for looking in, will be busting open another box of miniature madness soon.  ]cheers[

Real life gets in the way again. Due to a family crisis, I won't be picking up the brushes for a while. Don't want you chaps thinking I've cut and ran if I don't post for a few days.

The Germans really had a knack for designing beautiful but menacing tanks and aircraft. I have always been fascinated by this, though I have to sometimes take a step back and remember that these were designed to kill human beings. The most effective killing machines always seem to be beautiful designs. Your models look great as always, love the old pics as well.

Thanks for kind words, old chum.  :)

Well...at the 'you've just to get on with life' stage at the moment- so I'm back in the saddle with a French tiddler.

It's a lovely little kit, even if I had to face my phobia about link & length tracks (yes, they look great, subtly sagging and wrapping around the big wheels and all, but what pain in le derrière with all those tiny individual links).

Anyway - not bad for a regularly interrupted day's work. I'm really looking forward to slapping the jigsaw/art deco pattern on this one. That's a Jagdtiger track link - just to give an idea of how the R35 compares, it's like building a 1/48th scale kit.

Shouldn't take long to get the turret done and break the paint out. Back soon.  ;)

The Jagdtiger wouldn't even know it had run over that tiny "tiddler".
Reminds me of this vid that I downloaded a few years back, earlier war but similar design.

I enjoyed that vid, cheers! I've always been a sucker for French design.  ;D

Aaaaand there she is waiting for a lick of paint.

Quite a frustrating day involving microscopic parts, tweezers and much cussing. The gun cradle assembly proved particularly bothersome and required a little 'green stuff' putty. Could have been my fault - I was having a 'Thunderthumbs' sort of day.  :-[

Now the real fun can begin.  :)

Thanks as always for looking in, back soon with more miniature multi-coloured mayhem.  ]cheers[
