 ;D

Let's get this Stug on the road - dedicated, of course, to rogeroger - hoping it brings back happy memories.  :)

A familiar start - 'chunky' details and poly caps. That's the traditional and repetative first stage done. At the risk of tempting fate, this one shouldn't take very long.

Thanks for looking in - back soon with another Stug-tastic status report  ;)

Just me, or is it getting a little stuggy in here?  ;D

Constant interruptions, I reckon with a clear run it would have been built by now.  A good old-fashioned (1975) no drama kit from the big T. Better start thinking about a paint scheme and crew figures.

Thanks for looking, back soon with more toy tank tomfoolery  ;)

Stole some more time on it tonight. I like the texture on the extra concrete protection.

Thanks for dropping by - back soon with more glue-fuelled goodness  ;)

A nice looking kit, though doesn't more drama equal more bang for buck. ;)

I recently downloaded the amazing Battlefield2 Forgotten hope2 mod which features some well modelled Stugs amongst others. Lots of fun, though I've had to dumb down the ai to stand a chance. :)

Looks like fun, might check it out.  :)

Not much getting done on Stuggy due to real life encroaching on my plans. :(

I've spoilt myself with Tamiya kits and much prefer an easy assembly over a challenging one  ;D Having said that, I think I'm in for some 'bang for the buck' with the Italeri Panzerjager I - the chassis is a really ancient old kit, the gun is an over-engineered addition via Zvezda. Still, the little tiddler should look nice alongside my early Panzers. Oh yes - I might have overdone the old retail therapy during a brief escape from real life today, the stash is growing again...

I'm thinking the motor cycle and roadsign set would look nice watching the Stug roll past. The the wintry dudes huddled behind a Tiger in snow cammo, and the Valentine's going to be a lend-leaser in Soviet green - the British crew figures probably going in the Crusader.

Back soon with more steel plated silliness  ;)

Due to real life issues, progress has been painfully slow. I did spend a little time on Stuggy today.  Due mainly to supporting hooks for the side skirts, it's very, very delicate. Definitely in need of a base for protection, methinks. Currently looking through what I've got for suitable crew figures.

That's very kind of you, Gerhard.  ]cheers[

The little T-26 diorama is getting close to where I want to be with future builds.  :)

Sorry for not updating sooner - real life has really got in the way.

Not much to report except I've finally got the crew figures assembled and posed. The loader/top machine gunner is out of the box, the commander and driver are old Academy figures that came with the Airfix Tiger, still in need of carving, cleaning-up and placing in exact position. Should look o.k when I've overcome my fear of cammo' smocks...

Don't know when I'll find time to finish this one, but I'll be back with more modelling madness once things have settled down. Cheers all.  ]cheers[

Aaaaaand we're back. Stuggy's assembled and ready for a lick of paint.  :)

I'm leaving the side skirts off for now to make life easier. I'm also going to chop the one-piece mouldings into four pieces to give Stuggy that lived-in and been around look. You know - hanging at an angle or missing alogether.

Thanks for looking, back soon with more miniature mayhem  ;)

Oh, yes - the stash has got bigger during my absence...

I thought they'd look neat supporting my panzer grey collection.

Delayed yet again, but Stuggy's coming along - some paint on it at last. A long way to go yet, checked the side skirts for angle of dangle - they'll be put to one side until I've got a lot more done on the hull, but you get the idea...I'm thinking of leaving one steel plate off and hanging a bare naked one on the other side.

Thanks for looking in, back soon with more self-propelled pandemonium  ;)

As far as I got tonight - a start made in toning down and fading the cammo, bringing out the texture on the improvised concrete...
