Thank you Andy ;D

Hull finished

Following the waterline on the rudder's base

The stern

Well I couldn't get the masking tape stay in all those curves and stuff so I painted the curve by free hand with a tiny brush
It's far from perfect but I'm satisfied
I'm far from a professional modeler let alone, painter and have no funds for an airbrush kit (nor space to use it) so it's the best I could produce with brushes

Now comes the superstrucutre

And
the
containers... ::(

Anyone has any ideas on how to make these randomly different colored quickly?
Masking tape doesn't work as good as paint goes everywhere on them...

Also I have a veeery tiny brush that helps but it takes an excruciatingly long time to paint them well and the result is somewhat similar lol
And there are 23 such blocks
Yes I'll paint over that ugly orange, I tought it would at least darken or lighten up a bit

Maybe tape a section and use spray paint?
Too bad they are not separate parts, a pain to put together but easier to brush paint.

It says they are in stock:

Took a little break, but in the meantime i painted the Titanic's hull and just now added the decals to the container ship and built the superstructure

Thanks lads ;D
I too really like it

Here are some clearer pics

On the name, I was thinking on Hanover or Bremen express as I like those better for a german ship
My gf decided on Hanover, but was bothered by HaNover as it's HaNNover in fact

But the ships bear their names in english form and the real thing is also named Hanover express with 1 N

Also fun fact
The draft markers are numbers in 20 cm increments and not lines as I tought
I checked them with a powerful magnifying glass and damn, what a detail

Great work! That really is a nice-looking kit. If it wasn't for all those pesky tanks cluttering up the house... ;D

Sitrep
As you might have noticed, i disappeared for more than a month
You know the drill, i got busy, didn't have time and it shifted my interest away from il-2 and also modeling for now

But in the recent days I got myself to continuing my Titanic and she's starting to take shape finally

There's still gonna be a lot of work with the painting but i can now finally see where i have to correct it for good

Little and big sis together

The kit originally has a 4 bladed center prop
But Titanic actually had a 3 bladed one so I cut off 3 blades and glued back 2 in a 3 blade configuration

As for the container ship, i still don't have the motivation to paint the containers lol
Maybe one day

Also for the next time i get hyped to build something, i've been eyeballing the Bismarck in 1/700 by Revell for a while
I don't really like warships or battleships but I still wanna build one just for the sake of it
Also I find the Bismarck beautiful and all my friends are building american BBs so why not go for a german one? :P
