This is a semi-historical 18-mission campaign, recreating the career of a Sparrowhawk hook-on pilot with the USS Macon during 1934.
It's the time of piece in the year and this is a peacetime campaign, to enjoy flying
This is made with and to be played with BAT 4.2.1 update! (+hotfix 02)
4.2.1 contains relevant materialYou start out as a seasoned float plane scout, serving on a cruiser, when you see the mighty Macon for the first time in the summer of 1933. You just have to serve on that airship!
Sometimes requests get granted and you get to experience what would be Macon's only season, right up until that fateful day in February 1935 - but maybe the cosmic dimensions will part into a fork this time and history can be changed...**
The missions are recreated to be historical in setting, and many are actual re-accounts. Like the interception of the presidential cruiser or the search for a crash landed scout pilot.
If you flew my previous LTA misions, you may recognize some but in a new fashion. As I found out more and more detailed accounts, I made some missions closer to the real thing in terms of weather or such.

About the mission design:
This is made to be a "flyer" campaign.
The missions will *not* work by simply hitting autopilot. Sometimes I even went and removed waypoints, since navigation and precision flying is the game here. If you look for a rush of adrenaline, look elsewhere. If you take your time and fly about, doing your peace-time exercise business, while everyone is trying to grasp the potential of the airship as such, this is the place to be: Wind, wavetops and the elements.
There is no combat in this campaign**, you will get to shoot at practice targets on one occasion.
-I suggest to play this campaign on full realism settings and also with all waypoints and icons switched OFF.
-You should however also switch "No Instant Success" to OFF to always be able to continue.
-You will be asked to navigate, so familiarize yourself with a compass and a watch.
-late in the campaign you will encounter YE "hayrake" beacon navigation.

**note:
There is a follow up alternate-history campaign. I promise you plenty of hilarious action there
enjoy
