Interesting findings
After checking the FM I noticed that the hook control was disabled so I modified the FM enabling the hook. The beginning of the test with the revised FM was promising as the hook extension command was working with confirmation in the HUD. Visually nothing changed as mentioned in the thread the hook was a fixed one. However with the plane on final approach very close to the deck the plane freezed mid air while the rest of the objects kept moving and Akagi sailing away. This happened both under manual control and AI control. So maybe is due to this unresolved glitch that the arresting hook functions have been disabled in BAT.

Strange issue indeed!

Infact the tail hook was working flawless in BAT 411 as my tests and missions done were successful with that version....
