I haven't checked all the ships. The same was true for "IJN Hiryu Class CV".
I can't wait for the patch.

Do you have the March 13 update to my v1.4 effects pack, as well as my little mod that contains about 3 dozen ships with fixed hooks for wakes? As I write this, the latter mod is the topmost one listed in the "Ships" mods sub-forum.

If after having these installed you encounter any ships having bad wake placement, let me know. If it's a ship not included in B.A.T. 4.0 WAW, provide me the full folder for that ship, so that I can either see it in the mesh viewer utility I have, or at least can plot the relevant meshes in a spreadsheet.

That effect is a fuel leak. It appears that for that plane (A6M5?) the hook for the leak from that fuel tank is not at the correct place, it being too low and hence outside the airframe. I've not seen this before with any of the zeros, and it might be a case of a little data corruption having occurred in your installation.

You will see that for other planes the fuel leak does (or should) start at or just inside the wing or fuselage where the tank is located.

If you confirm what plane this is, I'll have a look at the hook location. If it's a case of a data corruption in your installation, and that the hook is otherwise correct, I could supply a fix for you so that you don't have to do a re-install of the game. And if it's a case of an incorrect hook for everyone, then this will be a fix for all.

Well, I don't use JCat's Zeros, and so don't have available the relevant mesh.

Can you pack up the Plane folder and upload it to mediafire? The photo you spplied does not make clear which tank has this bad hook location, and so having the entire plane will assure of applying the fix.

I just downloaded the up-engined A6M5, based on JCat's work, as it was available as a separate plane. I see no issues at all with the fuel leak hooks.

Confirm which plane this is, which mod you are using, and which fuel tank (left, right or center).

If you could try out other Zeros as well, to check if this is limited to just one plane, that would be useful. For testing, you could set up a mission where you are shooting friendly Zeros with just your 7.7mm guns, to force leaks to spring forth and permit to examine the point they are originating.

I just discovered that the 'second tier' of Zeros in my BAT game are those of JCat's. Silly me for not looking into it.

The version of BAT is 4.1.3.
If that version is the cause, I will update it.
However, I am worried that the number of airplanes I will not use will increase.

I know little about the game versions following 4.12.2. If 4.13.4 is not using the Engine Mod, you might try the setup for 4.12. It costs nothing to try; if it causes conflicts, just delete it.  ;)
