Request for a tiny cockpit fix for the He-162 variants
« on: March 05, 2022, 12:06:38 PM »

Please could I request that the fix worked by the modding team be applied to the He-162 A/B/C/D  (see following link):

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,64097.msg705406.html#msg705406

It's only the masks around the ammunition counters, so I appreciate it is low priority.

Thanks

Matz going back in his shell now....

Wouldn't the fix applied in that older thread work still? Or am I missing something?

HI WxTech,

the fix worked when applied to a basic ModAct build (like mine) and VP's Modpack type builds, but with the BAT mega-build and everything tidied up into SFS files, I wouldn't know where to start.
Well, OK, I could try find the right SFS file, unpack it, update it , repack it......    I think you get the picture.
And the chance I would have a working BAT at the end is "a snowball in hell" percent.

Maybe there is another way that wouldn't get overwritten by the next patch/update?
(BTW - loving the latest Effects - Thanks)

You should just be able to drop that mod from a couple years back into your game's #WAW3 folder, in the way you once put in your older game's MODS or #SAS folder.

As suggested - I created a set of folders as per the picture below

A-2 / A-1, and D all good. C (crank swept wing) ok but it has the text on the ammo counter. Still I have working gauges which is nice.

I guess this a "Solved" then..... (holding out hope for a proper fix rather than my sticking plaster job  ;).
Thanks again to WxTech and all the modders.
