For those who build historical missions and campaigns
« on: March 16, 2022, 10:14:58 AM »

Hello to everyone!
I found a very interesting source for those who build historical missions and campaigns. These are the Combat Claims and Casualties for the RAF (November 1940-December 1942) the western front and the Luftwaffe for almost all fronts. Link: http://don-caldwell.we.bs/jg26/claims/tonywood.htm  For RAF you can find offensive and defensive operations in pdf.  For Luftwaffe only claims. For those who do not know the site, it is worth seeing.
Good luck!

I'm glad you find it useful. It was useful for me in the "First of the eyries" campaign.

Hi Wolf44 and Yaro59. Tony Wood has long been a good source for detailed WW2 data. Since Tony started his lists German historian Michael Balss, now living in the Philippines, has issued lists of all known Luftwaffe claims and losses in his series of books 'Deutsche Losses and Claims' which may also be available in pdf format if memory serves me right. His data is taken from the original Quartermaster records for all war fronts. Despite some of the records lost during the war they are a useful supplement to Tony's data.

Hello,larschance and Yaro!
That's right, it's a very valuable source, before I found the site, I was struggling to find out about the RAF's offensive operations so I could use them in the campaign. This documentary research by Don Caldwell has given me much more. I thought maybe not everyone knows about this site but it would be helpful to know.

All the best!
