Hi buzz- Beurling, thanks a lot for taking care of this map
all these materials are really based on real events that took place in China in 1937-1939 -- we are looking forward to Nanking, it will be a big blast, I wish you the best of luck :)

Here are some sneak previews. Want to add some and remove some more details before uploading this version. Big Map!!)

Adding some Skyline to The Bund.

Jian Qiao Airfield near Hangzhou.

Approaching the Great Amusement Center from the North. Now also has the Race Track.

Longhua Airfield.

The rest of these are Nanking...

Sorry for the delay getting this out. Trying to limit the number of objects in the map in order to not impact performance too much.
Also I had some towns and rivers in in correct locations before, and took time to try and fix these, for example the city of Hangzhou was way off.

Will try to upload what i have done for you guys this weekend!

Thanks mate!
Very nice shoots!

Take all the time you need....IL2 modding should be a pleasure and I keep it as balanced as possible between scheduled release date and bothering/hurry....

Hi Buzz downloaded but not installed yet but looks amazing from all the screenshots, just noticed there are no static.ini additions? Does this map use existing buildings etc already in BAT?

Yes all objects are from BAT currently. Wanted to keep this simple as possible for now...
I am open to adding objects from elsewhere if you have any suggestions...

Buzz,
It's the paucity of objects that was being pointed out; populated centers more resemble the aftermath of a landscape-scouring, nuclear bomb aftermath.  :-)  B.A.T. has sufficient variety of objects already, I would say.

By the way, a few of the modern buildings do look out of place. And I can tell that some of those modern buildings have bad surface normals resulting from corners sharing the same vertices; those models have too few vertices.

I see that you erased from map_c a great many of the tiny 'ponds' that littered the landscape. I always wondered if they were some odd artifact, and not representative of an actual plethora of tiny lakes everywhere. But now in a good many cases the former beaches of tan sand still remain, like the remnants of dried up waterholes after the nuclear holocaust that largely wiped the cities away.  😀  Sorry, I can't resist my urge for cracking out the humorous jibes.

Cheers!
