Finally got a legit copy, well, I also kinda got this new monitor, and it's giant. So, I have to set my 4k res, BUT, when I try to do it via game settings, it does not work, and it keeps clicking back to 880P or whatever it's set to. This makes gameplay more pixelated than Minecraft, so i need some assistance with that, but also with 4.13, because the version he gave me is in 4.13, so on the side to my res help, I need to know if I can add additional aircraft to it as it is. (if not, don't worry, the current selection is good enough with me)

And don´t enter anything via the game settings, use the conf.inin for changing things. If you´re unsure on what and how to do a search in the forum. THere are plenty of posts with tips to give you support .

I tried it, and the result was the game just zooming into the upper left corner. I don't think i need to send an image, but i will anyways.

Check so the conf.ini is´nt set to read only.

Another thing about setting your resolution for the game besides defining how many pixels by how many pixels to display in the conf. ini, is the Windows "scaling". Sometimes it involves going to the executable's "properties" (IL2.exe). You click the "compatibility" tab, and at the bottom there's a thing about "high DPI scaling override", where you check the box that says "Override high DPI scaling behavior", and allow scaling to be performed by "application". this will allow the game to fill the screen without cutting off some of the picture.

This problem can also come from the scaling that Windows uses.
Go to your windows desktop and rightclick on it.
Choose at the bottom 'Display Settings'.

Under the 'Scale and Layout' header, there is a setting for scale in Percentage.
Often this is at 150% for larger screens. Set it to 100% and your screen will have smaller letters, but also the IL2 should fit the screen.
If this works, you could set these values in the Properties of the IL2 program as described above by Hoddyman.

Hoddy's solution works best, i don't feel like trying other solutions because this works well enough for me. Thank you!
