This is very strange! But as you don't give the version of your game...  :-X
By default tanks have a dust trail.
Only cars don't!

This Mod (for cars) exists in the IES pack... among others...
And you have to make sure that the vehicles have the necessary hooks: Dustx

Generic Class :
     com.maddox.il2.objects.vehicles.cars.CarGeneric

Hello wolf,

if you have a fast PC and a good graphics card try this ancient (v4.09/ v4.10.1) mod:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/rs0zx4wtn7idw74/Massive+Dust+Trail.7z/file

...just tested in B.A.T. #WAW3:

So it will run perfectly in your 4.12.  :D

Best regards and good luck

It would be odd to have tanks make dust on non desert maps but have no dust on desert maps. Wolf44, do you have dust on other maps?

The more ideal situation would involve checking additional attributes, such as whether the map is DESERT, and have a wider array of ground dust effects to draw upon.

Perhaps something like a new mission parameter could be introduced, with an established set of effects to select from. For example, a .mis file might have a line entry of DUST=desert, or DUST=winter, or DUST=pacific, etc. Such effects as tank dust and aircraft prop dust/wheel dust, perhaps more, could have a matching variation on the effect. Then the mission maker could pick what he thinks is most appropriate. If a .mis file does not have such an entry, the default effects are used.

Now this would be a great idea, if only someone had the skills to implement it.

I greet you all! Thanks for the tips! I installed 0_0_0_can`t see a shit ... and no change. Maybe somewhere in the settings I changed something without realizing it, because I'm redneck, but it would be something that interferes, I guess it would be CTD.

I can say that the vehicles cross as ecologically as possible  :)

Hello ,WxTech! I have no dust on desert or east front. And I have installed !0_WxTech_Effects_v1.4_ALL-game-versions ,so it should have been dust.

I disabled two mods,(-!!00_0_FXEvolution_v4.12  and  -!!00_0_FXEvolution_v4.12_Independent static smoke and fire) to see if there is any difference and a shy bit of dust appeared. But not the massive dust I want. Is that be the problem? Multiple mods that overlap? I have installed several effects mods, over time, which have TankDust effect. Or maybe another is the problem and cancels from all modes exactly TankDust?

I also disabled -! 0_WxTech_Effects_v1.4_ALL-game-versions ... and I had massive dust. I also deactivated the two "cant see shit" and I had enough dust to notice a column of armor from the air. So it looks like several mods were canceling each other?

with Massive Tank dust mod

without Massive tank dust mod

Looks like the situation has been solved! Gentlemen, thank you very much for your advice and assistance! I wish you all the best!

wolf44 ...in the dust ;D

If two or more mods involve one or more of the same classfiles, that has a high probability of conflicts. Classfiles in mods always reside in the mod's root folder, and said files have 16-digit hexadecimal names. If you are making much use of mods, a very useful little utility to put in your game's base folder is classcheck.exe. when you run  it, all instances of doubled classfiles are written to a text file called doubleon.txt.

It also behooves a mod user to well understand the game's folder and file structure, and what different types of files do. This makes the incorporation of new mods a surer process.
