You will laugh…
Now with the first version of this map (1942) I have only one problem.
I need a place to download the map and objects to it. (volume within 200 mb). My Google Disk and Mediafaire account is crashing right now. I can't access my folders.

I will now try to register on mission4today.com. I hope I can get an account there

Hi Mixx

If you zoom in on the map you posted you can see the location and orientation of the airfields.
Most are situated on the Stuart Highway.

I have sent you some excellent information.

If you can at least prep the airfield areas for mission builders that will be great.
By that I mean level terrain and place runway points.

If you decide to make airfield textures I would say Strauss and Livingston should be first preference followed by Hughes and Fenton.

It remains to decide only on the place of construction and the scheme of this airfields-hub.

Hi Mixx - hope this helps

cheers

G'day genXgamer.
Thanks for the airfield info. Very interesting materials with diagrams and photos.
I did not have such documents. Unfortunately, I found inconsistencies with my map.
I will no longer remake from the established objects and airfields - there is no free time and energy. I will try to correct some details.

Concerning new airfields. I thought and would give preference to the airfield
Strauss (for fighters) and Hughes airfield (for medium bombers)!

It will be fair. Strauss and Livingston airfields are almost identical in pattern and are very close to each other. In addition, both airfields are for fighters.
The only limitation: the size of the texture for the airfield is 1600 m. (And when multiplying the texture by 2, I lose quality in the same proportion).
In reality, the runways there were already built modern ones with a length of under 2.5 kilometers.
I think for fans of fighters and medium bombers, a shortened runway will not be a hindrance. It would be nice if it turned out authentic.

I will study what material the runway of these airfields is made of..

Hi Mixx - hope this helps

cheers
Hi Emmett.
Thank you.By the way, this image is from the best collection of airfield maps in the Pacific region.

I drew Strauss and Hughes airfields. I had to change them a bit to make parking spaces work. It was not possible to implement all the details, but there is progress.

Unfortunately, I had to completely redo Darwin's airfields and the city itself. It took a long time.
The previous version was a redone clone from Google-maps
Thanks to archival documents and photos, I try to realize them more realistically.

G'day Mixx

Updates look amazing, it will great to play a Darwin mission and have 452 Squadron and others at the correct location.

457 Squadron was based at Livingston, so are you able to flatten terrain and place runway points for this airfield?

I can then transfer my airfield template over when I make a campaign.

Perhaps too late..

Hughes Airfield (32 Mile), 2022 - now used as a fire-fighting strip.

G'day emmett_grogan

Hope I haven't misunderstood but Hughes will be included.
