Dears , Mick and Gunny,

the problem is that inside the MkI(Multi1) there are double her.im ........

That's the problem .......is not easy

if  I go also to try to mod the pilot position values inside her.im ,as you told me, the head position of pilot inside cockpit not change  .........Maybe that's why

... well, from what I can see in your screenshot, the Hurricane MkI(Multi1) hier files don't have the ".him" extension, so I suppose the game won't see them ...  :-[

So, no wonder nothing changes when you edit them ...  :-X

Try to rename "hier" into "hier.him" and "hierMkIb" into "hierMkIb.him"

If you can't see the file extensions, it's also because "see extensions" isn't ticked in the Windows display options.
It is not recommended not to display file extensions!  ]nono[
Because it's very easy to create malicious executable files without your knowledge!  ;)

no... no..., no  problem,  is that I left the tick by my mistake when I opened a hier.him... with "OPEN WITH" with NOTEPAD of windows (10), now I should edit the registry to bring things back to the way they were before.... That's it, As you can see  myDear good Epervier .  from the screenshot in the other files the extensions are there , then not Windows change in that sense : ;)

and to answer to the good Mick , the fact that you don't see the .him extension I don't think it should affect anything , otherwise if it wasn't in my computer il2 it shouldn't work , but therefore , I'm still asking why changing the pilot positioning parameters in the hier.im , the pilot head doesn't change position ....... Mah  ]dontknow[     ]help[

... maybe the hier.him file is in "read only", so any edit won't be taken in account ...

To check this, right click on the hier.him ==> proprieties, and untick the "read only" setting if necessary ...

Otherwise, it isn't the Pilot Attaching values that need to be edited, but the Head1 values ...

Borrow the ones from the Hurricane MKIIa if there is no problem with the pilot's head ...

This is my humble contribution to the magnificent work of Ranwers and all his successors (gunny0134,ssn637...), without whom I could not have produced the following.
I'm playing with IL-2 1946 4.12.2.m BAT V4.2.2 and my list of plane content their files and others I've made. absent are Barnesy's excellent models. My work is completely free and you can do what you want with it
Hope it will help someone

Dear loulou , your files are ok ! taken one by one and not copy and paste on Whole Block.
I  use BAT 4.2.1 , but in generally the rules are the following  for all main version used of il2 1946  , and I just want to give some tips to users who may be following the discussion ......

anyway to make the mod  files go whoever the  have to, and this is for those who are follow us, generally rules should be kept in mind :

find the name of the folders by dump , depending on the version you are using of BAT or whatever. To do this then you need to dump .

the dump of the files is done with the IL2 selector.

It would be better to have an IL2 version (BAT or the one you are using) loaded on an external drive that is clean so that you can do a dump without any mods added.

Every time you dump, once you have acquired the folder name, you have to delete the generated folder. the dump is done for each slot of the aircraft selection menu, and for each "Side" red or blue. (RAF or Luft) so you get the folders (Multi).

it is IMPORTANT TO GENERATE A DUMP and ONCE YOU HAVE ACQUIRED the folder name delete it from the dump, this is because in an aircraft folder there can be more than one her.him file related to the same aircraft version.

Each time you generate a dump, copy the folder that was generated into a separate temporary file.

the contents of the her.him files generated by the dump must be deleted and replaced by the contents of the her.him file from  the newpilots folder provided by the download of the files from the SAS site.
no minus - behind the him files because this should generate any aircraf slot load  Any abnormality . the  files  him they must always be filled in.  otherwise they generate..... this , in this case with (Multi) folders, that resuts to not show the pilot .

And now a bit of controversy

I hope I have explained myself, .....   as the parachute said........to jumped pilot

I have understood, however, that in these cases that

You are  alone, You've got to make do.......

seems that No one says all this what really needs to be done , EACH ONE HAS HIS SAY, and you have to break your head ....... (No, there's no controversy, no....no.... Yes, there is, but not much).

But don't be discouraged because there are so many great people who can help you ;)

I hope this explanation is useful for all, in order to avoid The above difficulties I've Faced (because I have suffered a lot).

As for my hurricane 12 lbs on mod , it had become a personal matter and I solved it on my myself........ However, the files provided by Loulou  It was essential especially for those who want to apply themselves to the modification in question with the due assumptions.

so mission accomplished......with the help of all   ,  but what a struggle of all of us ......

But anyway I thank everyone :P

There is one thing we should not forget in doing this work.

On the old platform of 1946, the combination of '3D plane + 2048 skin + 3D pilot' looks good but is by no means desirable.

It causes a lot of loss to 'FPS'.

The screen doesn't flow naturally but stutters.

Always be aware of this.

Thank you.

Gunny , Is there a type of 3D plane and 3D pilot that you are referring to in particular?
