There is one thing we should not forget in doing this work.

On the old platform of 1946, the combination of '3D plane + 2048 skin + 3D pilot' looks good but is by no means desirable.

It causes a lot of loss to 'FPS'.

The screen doesn't flow naturally but stutters.

Always be aware of this.

Thank you.

... true, but this also depends on the map used, the mission, the number of planes in the air, and above all on the PC, mainly the processor, graphics card and total memory available ...  ;)

You can also downsize a lot of pilot textures from 24 bits to 8 bits without a visual impact on quality, and you will then divide by 3 the weight of each texture, for ex a 3Mb texture will be reduced to a 1 Mb texture ...  8)

For ex check loulou's Textures B-25 folder from here :

Hello everyone
I think I need to explain a couple of things
I have uploaded the # PILOTS xx files as they appear in my #WAW3
They contain the aircraft files that were made, before my uploading  by all the excellent moders
Those files don't need to be changed DO NOT DELETE OR ERASE THESE FILES
the other aircraft files are the ones I wanted to modify to get better-looking pilots
to build them, I isolated these planes, using DUMP, I kept and modified the hier.him files, and apply only the elements concerning the appearance of the pilots
I have to admit that my method is more street cooking than great cooking! Even if I am french...
but I could see that it matched rather well and that's why I invite you to improve my results, as Gunny did with the P-38s.
I hope you'll understand my approach better and that my work will be of some use.
Thank you

This post is to inform them  that I have put on the net my first aircraft modified to accommodate RAF Ranwers pilots in the cockpit. This aircraft That is the only type of Hurricane that was missing from all the collections published to date. :

This is the first aircraft modified entirely by me to receive the new RAF pilots originated by the author RANWERS of SAS.

The slot folder HurricaneMkIIbMod(Multi1) was obtained from dumping from a one of my BAT 4.1.2. full immacolate clear version.

Basically I took the her.him file  original of the Hurricane MK II field mod, 1941 slot , and I modified it by copying the differences found on the her.him original of the Hurricane MK II field mod, 1941 (crossing-check on both hier files) , and I modified it by copying the differences found on original to MKIIB hier supplied inside by Ranwers' hurricane MkIIB pack.

This aircraft was missing from the all other  collections published until now , and is still missing now.  So it's a novelty.

Furthermorly , Il file has been checked and is free from virus .

             ----------- INSTALLATION ------------

The file have inside the right structure for JSGME use only ,
it will loading Inside the #RAF FOLDERS of Ranwers pack.
Single speedy loaded copy and paste are wrong and are not supported by me.

I would thanks all SAS people that have supplied help .

inside the downloaded folders there are credits/readme as from SAS rules.

HAVE YOU A FUN !!!!

Hello BIGREDONE
I just see the good job you do with Hurricane MkIIb Mod
We share the same method with extracting file and hier.him file by dumping and including in it elements concerning pilot and stick...
For the good job you have done I just proposed something a little different
As the topic show ( https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,51038.msg556816.html#msg556816 ) it seem that this model of plane was used by Soviet Air Force
So I propose a model with russian pilot that I make with a La-5 pilot and a hurricane stick
https://www.mediafire.com/file/o2k062tgyf4wqsm/HurricaneMkIIbMod_pilot_soviet.zip/file
I hope it please to all of you
And thanks again to BIGREDONE

but thanks to you......

I framed  your post as a diploma.......also for you too did a great job.

The difficult thing, however, is to compare the infamous her...him and make the necessary differences between them.

The infamous one is however an important source of information on the 3D model of the plane. I would like to know the meaning of all the meshes item by item, there will be some manual somewhere.....

for last ..........It's not that like the Hurricanes are tied to the Lightnings by shadows structures..........?

I don't know if you've encountered the same thing....

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

... then you need Mesh Viewer tool (32 bit or 64 bit according to your OS)...  ;)

As I'm too lazy to search the forum... let's just do :
See here : https://www.mediafire.com/folder/xuwc5rxara3av/IL-2_Public
Tab Outils_IL-2

Choice "Msh_Viewer_32e" or "Msh_Viewer_64e".
