Sorry, but I would ask to them ,  if I like to  isolate or extract a particular item from a group, for example, from the GROUP CF_D1

and ...I would like to isolate the pilot seat, is there a tool or a method to do it ?

Okay, now you're using the msh viewer.
The ones in CF_Do can't be removed
It's the same for me to want to get rid of things like shambolic sticks and chairs etc.
But it cannot be removed.
Maybe other than redesigning CF_Do...
The way I use it is to cover the chair with the pilot's body,
Stick is to put the 3D stick in the same place to make the 2D stick invisible.
This is a really painful task.
No one knows the pain and the trouble.
The other way is if you find a model of the same plane and there's a well-made CF_Do in it.
Then, you could borrow it and use it.
Good luck with your continued development !!

Now, let's take an example like this.
There are no chairs in the cockpit of the plane you are working on.
You want to bring a well-made chair msh file from another plane and use it.
It's possible.
It's a basic step for personal modding.
An msh file is a package file. It consists of msh - mat - TGA files. It also includes a lot of the mat (material).
Double-click on one msh file to open it. Then you can know about it.
Let's say you took some msh file from another plane and one mat file was missing. Then the plane doesn't work. Everything involved should be brought without exception.

And what's really important is how to place the msh package exactly in your plane.

I wish you all the best in your development once again.

PS: It is so hard to write in English. I don't know if it's getting the exact meaning.

The tool to work on such meshes is 3DS Max or Blender, where the latter sees less usage hence less support from other modders.
From the mesh viewer, save every to "obj" files, these can be imported into 3DS Max so you can modify the mesh there.

If that program can modify msh files, why on earth have people been staring at ugly sticks in CF_Do for 20 years.

Why have people been staring at the monster lying in the cockpit of Heinkel He-111H for 20 years.

I don't understand and it is truly deplorable... :-X :-X :-X

If it is so easy you can just go ahead and produce a very nice stick :)

That's not what I mean.

I mean the tasks of removing them from CF_Do etc.

Isn't someone saying that there's a program that can be modified !!... 3DS Max.

But I didn't see them corrected by something that 3DS Max.

There are already many good sticks made.

If the space is cleaned up, I can fill it with any good items.

That's what I mean.

Gunny, I think I understand what you're asking.  The co-ordinates for the placement of something within a model, which is a separate mesh file, is controlled by the Hier.him file.

If, for example, the stick is modelled as part of the cockpit then the only way to change it, is to abstract that whole part, and as Mikes says, you would have to export it as an .obj (I use Mshconverter 18), into a external programme eg 3DS.max.  Re-model it or add to it etc, then compile it as a mesh part with the right name, not sure what prog you need for IL-2, then you would have to alter the Hier file to place it in the correct location in the ac.

If the model has a separate stick modelled, you could either make one and name it as the old one, the Hier.him file would see the naming of it and place it in the correct location.  Or if there is another model with a separate stick, you can just rename it as the old one and it will show at the original stick location.

Just a quick example, the attached pic shows a Bf109 with the original spinner, then with the spinner simply replaced with a BP Defiant spinner.  Same name, and the hier.him file places it in the correct location. BUT, if you wanted it to look better etc, you would have to abstract the spinner part, re-model and compile it back to IL-2. This is how a lot of the early frankenplanes were done.

Have a play!

Cheers

Only the contents mentioned above are what I need.
Other things are already being done in my work.
So far I haven't seen many modders doing the work mentioned above.
If I could see a lot of the results of the modder's revision work, I could have received a lot of positive impetus from them.
I am sorry that such work is being treated as little.
I don't intend to study the 3DS Max at this age.
That is also regrettable.

Thank you.

PS: I hope there is no misunderstanding in my expression because I am not an English speaker.

Typical case that needs to be modified (Mig-3U BAT stock ver).

I think I said something unnecessary. As an apology, I upload my planes responding to the request below.

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,69015.msg780152.html#msg780152

Blackburn Skua / Roc

Put the files in the 'Pilots RAF' folder of Ranwers.

Tested only on 4.12.2m, BAT 4.0

Thank you.
