Losing all ammo after one shot
« on: June 09, 2022, 09:13:56 AM »

Hi everyone!

In shortcut: After one shot I'm losing all ammo from guns. Then I shot from cannons > the same, one shot and ,,Out of ammo''.
Really I don't want to reinstall all over again...

Log file? Which one... it happens in campaign, single missions and during quick battles...

Please, any advice?

Upgrade: BAT 4.2 Sas Modact 5.3 Il2 4.12..

Maybe it's simply jamming? Ammo goes to zero if the gun gets jammed.

I am using BAT 4.2 with Mod Act 5.3. I changed the era for Down Of Flight, everything is working fine there. Only WAW era had some kind of issue.... I even tried on bombers. After one shot from one turret, all lost its ammo.

Let me be more specific, after I use TAB to see how many rounds do I have left and when all of them we shot, we will see ,,0''. I see nothing, all gone.

Providing log file contents is often necessary for others to help track down the cause. At least the later entries from file log.lst in the game's root folder.

Of course the best thing is to reinstall BAT as a cure for this bug.

I can see many files named: Dgen ERROR 1...2....3 etc. Which file is the correct log file to share?

Thank You for Your answers to my problem!

In my previous post I named the file and location.  ;)

This happened to me because I put the Wx Tech's file in WAW when in my set up it should be in SAS. After moving it to SAS, it's all good.

Hmmm... In my BAT 4.0 game I've never put anything in #SAS.

Me neither. When I had this problem it was simply a folder hierarchy error in WAW3.
