« on: June 22, 2022, 04:49:39 PM »

Hello all
I thought it would be interesting to create a thread about discussing your favourite aircraft from world war 2 and why
Also post photos of any  world war 2 planes you have seen flying or static in museums

The only authentic (?) German fighter of ww2 I have seen with my own eyes.

The big and beautiful beast, The P-47 Thunderbolt is my favorite WW II aircraft. here's a picture from "another" combat flight sim that we just got newly upgraded 1% flight model P-47's.

The flight models are within 1% of the actual specs. Speeds are within 1 mph and climb ,dive and turns are all within 1% of tested aircraft.

A lot of the bombs dropped in WW2 did not explode .

It is difficult to know how many . I have read that 20 % of the bombs dropped on Germany did not explode .
Are the ratio of unexploded bombs different for each country ?

Could this fact be simulated in IL-2 ?
