Hello everyone,

I am playing BAT4.2.2 hotfix 4. I cannot get the Ranswers pilots for the F4U-1x  to work. The log.txt file indicates an error in loading the hier.him, Enginex_D0.msh file is missing...I have read that several ones met the same issue, any way to fix that ? We have working pilots for B-25 and F6-F , a pity not to have them on F4U-1x... fighters...
However the Corsair aircrafts are working fine showing up the Ranwers pilots.
Here an excerpt of the log.txt when trying to fly the F4U-1C, with the F4U-1D same issue with the hier.him... but another missing .msh file...

... I don't know about BAT, but in my 4.09 game version there is no Enginex_D0.msh file for the F4U-1C in its plane folder, and neither in Ranwers' hier.him ...

Only an Engine1_D0.msh ...  ;)

you can try this :

1) Open Ranwers F4U-1C(USA) hier.him

2) Scroll down to :

[Engine1_D0]
Mesh Engine1_D0
Parent CF_D0
Separable
Attaching 0.999988 -0.00498923 0 0.00498923 0.999988 0 0 0 1 0 -0.40282 3.44541
CollisionObject xengine

 - Barnesy's ''F4U Pack updated 17-7-019'' on FreeIL2M****** site (3D improvements section)

The missing file of your F4U-IC(USA) is contained in it.

The rest of the solution and the selection is up to the User...!!

It's good your tinkering... but since some planes have been remade x times it would be better to indicate the version of the Mods used!  :D
