But now my problem is importing into 3ds max and modifying the cockpit by converting the files to obj. then I tried converting from 3ds to mesh (MSH) and replacing the 3ds file with the same original name, but there is something that escapes me.... I would need someone to explain, step by step, the procedure to import and export (but without generic explanations, or refer to links of which you have to read hundreds of blog pages, I don't know if I explain myself)

You're doing a great job right now.

But I'm definitely not the one who can explain that... ::( ::( ::( ::( ::(

One more thing...

If the plane you're working on is the one operated by Italian Air Force, I think it's better to have an Italian pilot on board.

But there probably isn't an Italian pilot who can hold the steering handle in both hands without eye-wearing goggles... :P ;D :D

PS: I think it would be good to put Italian pilot in (multi1).

... but why put a P38 stick in a P39 cockpit ...???   o_O

There is no document showing this ...   :-X

I think there's a little explanation here.

I don't know if this is historical or hypothetical... ::( ::(

By the way, is a wheel-type stick more convenient than a bar-type stick for a long flight ?

Is it because the pilot can use his hands alternately ??

That's all

"Linebacker II" is the operation to that the P39 in which this small task force had  participated with eight efficient aircraft and , after the events of LINEBACKER II there were four surviving aircraft. By the end of 1973 there were none left....
Not a single P39 was lost in action, but dismantled due to cannibalization of spare parts.
No crew died, even the maintenance staff was evacuated in 1973 with the events we all know.

The P-39 crews  logged something like 80 STRIKE missions on Vietnam Trail bridges and SAM 6 listening RADAR stations during LINEBACKER II, after is not known.

Basically, there were 2 reasons: one is this

And the other one , is this one that should not be underestimated :

......  giving better feeling of shot control.........

Regards to all

Many thank you, BIGREDONE.

Thanks to your 'left and right', my P-39 became more beautiful.

Of course, there was an obstruction when opening the canopy, but it is not considered a big problem.

Because if I need it, I can remove the right side any time.
