Not really sure what to look for, but in my log.lst file I found the following suspicious entries after trying to load a quick mission:

INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file '3DO/Plane/TEXTURES/drelich_lift_m.tga'
WARNING: object '3DO/Plane/TEXTURES/drelich_lift_m.tga' of class 'TTexture2D' not loaded
INTERNAL ERROR: Texture required
WARNING: object '3DO/Plane/Ju-88A-13/Pilotbody_m.mat' of class 'TMaterial' not loaded
INTERNAL ERROR: Material: Can't load 'Pilotbody_m.mat'
Mission error, ID_04: java.lang.RuntimeException: INTERNAL ERROR: Material: Can't load 'Pilotbody_m.mat'

Did you put the Ju-88A-13 folder inside your PILOTS Luft folder ...?

Ju-88A-13...

It works in 4.12.2m BAT 4.0 mod without any modification.

But... what the hell are those two weird machine guns?

I'll throw it far away... :-X

PS : by the way, this plane is not well opened in the Msh Viewer, so I don't know the msh name of those two machine guns... ::( ::(

You're right Gunny!  This is what my JU-88A-13 looks like close up in a Quick Mission.  My pilot and co-pilot aren't comparable to yours, but those machine guns sticking out of the sides do seem out of place!

I had the extra MGs too (in order to boost the defense ...  :P) so here is the fix ...  ;)

Open the hier.him and deactivate turrets 5 and 6 like this :

Yes, but I noted that there's no file named "drelich_lift_m.tga" in my 3DO/Planes/Textures folder. 

When I duplicated the file "drelich_lift.tga" and changed the name of its duplicate to "drelich_lift_m.tga" in the TEXTURES folder and tried to load the JU-88A-13 in a quick mission it still refused.  This time when I checked the log file I noted that another file was missing from the TEXTURES folder ("Face_Germ3_death.tga"):

INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file '3DO/Plane/TEXTURES/Face_Germ3_death.tga'
WARNING: object '3DO/Plane/TEXTURES/Face_Germ3_death.tga' of class 'TTexture2D' not loaded
INTERNAL ERROR: Texture required
WARNING: object '3DO/Plane/Ju-88A-13/Face_death3.mat' of class 'TMaterial' not loaded
INTERNAL ERROR: Material: Can't load 'Face_death3.mat'
INTERNAL ERROR: Material: Can't load 'Face_death3.mat'

The firepower would be powerful, but it moved too strangely out of canopy... ::( ::(

PS : When the log says something is missing, it can be used by copying and renaming similar items. I do that a lot, too... ;)

... THX for fixing the bug yourself ...!  :P

My fault in fact, as this was my first attempt at releasing Ranwers elegant style aircraft with new pilots/gunners, with only the necessary files + hier.him, but I must have forgotten to check all mat files, as the ones with an "m" or also Face_Germ3,_death, and drelich_lift_m, were used by Zdenek in his Ju-88A-4 ...  :-X

In fact there are two different ways to modify pilots/gunner in an aircraft :

Ranwers light and elegant way, with the advantage of being able to revert back to the previous pilots/gunners, simply by deleting the aircraft folder inside the PILOTS folder ...

Or the more definitive way that I use in most cases, that consists in editing the original aircraft folder, by adding the new pilots mesh files + mat files, plus editing the hier.him too, and also using only the necessary textures ...

I'll be more careful in the future ...  8)

There's nothing perfect here.

I'm just thankful that you make and provide us with a good plane items.

So don't worry about anything that has minor problems because we can fix them enough.
