... I also have C-6, C-6 Nacht Jagdt, and R1 ready, except for Pilot2 who is driving me crazy, so I decided to take a break with the Ju-88s ...  :-X

I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but when I include the Barnesy head movement V4.12 class file in my BAT 4.2.1 installation some aircraft fail to load, although they're visible in the Viewer.

For example, when I try to start a Quick Mission with the FW190A-6 the game completely freezes while loading the aircraft at around 30%, with the log file referring to a Java exception related to the printCompassHeading command, which I found a reference to in that class file.

I thought of simply removing that field in NotePad but am not sure which lines would need to be deleted.  So I've just removed it completely from my MODS folder, although it would be nice to have this feature working along with the excellent pilots we've now been given!

This new class didn't work at all in my 4.09 game version, and maybe even crashed the game (can't remember), which is not surprising, as it was meant for 4.12 ...  ;)

Try it with this file.

Just put in your mod folder (#WAW3) : one folder, one classfile. So do not duplicate folder.

Although I don't know if it's going to works well...!!

Make sure it is located at the top of your mod folder (ex : folder name - '!  FixPrintCompassHeadingCrash').

... if you put the minus sign"-" at the beginning of a folder name, it will deactivate it, the game won't "see" it ...  :-[

So you need to name it for ex :

 '!  FixPrintCompassHeadingCrash

Oh, no~

That '-' is not a minus mark... ::(

Just same as '='

There's a lot of cultural difference in the symbols... ::( ::( ::(

I'll be careful from now on.

Thank you.

Wow Gunny, where in the world did you find that one!?

OK, so I replaced the Barnesy Head Movement hex file with that from the link you provided, since they both have the same name.

Now the FW190A-6 loads properly in a quick mission!  But how can I check to see if the pilot head movement mod is included with this fix?  Is there any particular aircraft I should fly in autopilot to look for head movement?  Any particular key command I can use to force him to move his head to one side or another?  With the FW190A-6 in autopilot he's faced forward before and after takeoff, although I can see his arm moving.

Cheers

In my case:

!  FixPrintCompassHeadingCrash
! Head movement 4.12

I named the folders like this.

There is no conflict between the two files.

Give it try.

Pardon, but these both contain the same class file: 554D28A0041EF420.
I checked with classcheck.exe.
A possible conflict here.

Now it's time for ssn637 to answer about it.

You've tried my case, and what's the result?
