For me,  I left both files in.
Just did a check flight and using F2 I saw that "my head" had turned to right.
Still trying to observe if wing man turns his too.

Tried using ssn's pilot test download but none of the Ju87s will appear in my QMB (except the G1 but the pilots head is out of line and the gunners is missing) instead just a blank ground texture appears with no aircraft visible? Using BAT Flashpoint - all others appear to be ok

Have you tried downloading the most recent folder (ca. 500MB in size)?  This includes any needed textures that might otherwise be missing.
If the Ju-87 variants still fail to load please take a look at your log file and let me know if there's an error shown about missing chunks or other issues with the hier.him file.

I'm in a mess right now... ::(

Even without Barnesy's file, wingmen's heads work well.

Even with Barnesy's file, the player's head doesn't move.

Then, what effect does Barnesy's file have on me?

I'd appreciate it if someone could teach me that.

The other day, I had commented on a post that there was no change although I have a file of Barnesy, '! head movement 4.12'.

But no one answered to me.

Now I want to know the answer.

Hello Gunny

Stock head motion includes a forward horizontal shift, the Barnesy file removes this motion so the pilots neck remains centered. It is made for the pilots made by Barnesy, who use a ball-shaped neck joint, in the Ranwers pilots it is not as effective as they do not use this type of joint, but its use is also noticeable, it prevents the head from moving forward giving the appearance of a dislocated neck.

Cheers

... THX to The Fly, who managed to put pilot2 back on his seat, I finally finished the Ju-88 C6 and C6NachtJagdt ...  ;)

Many THX to The Fly, because that pilot2 was driving me mad ...!

I'll post the package tomorrow, here are a few screenshots ...

Thank you for reply, master Haifisch...!!

You say that Barnesy's file doesn't have a very noticeable effect on the Ranwers's pilots cause of moving way is different, but in the case of Barnesy's pilot models, the wingmen's neck movement has a more natural effect.

So the top of the two pictures shows the effectiveness of Barnesy's file, because I can't see a slight gap in the neck.

It's a small difference...!!

But Barnesy gave us a better neck movement, Although it's small.

By the way, that doesn't mean it gives the player's head movement.

I understand it well.

Thank you again for your reply.

... OK, here is the DL link :

https://www.mediafire.com/file/n4y0aynwvptqstb/Ju-88+C6+++C6NJ.7z/file

Beware : if you put it in your Ranwers PILOTS Luft folder, please check that you already have the 3 textures that come with the pack (especially the one with a final "m" in its name) ...  ;)

In that case, the best thing to do is put the 3 textures in Ranwers TEXTURES folder and then delete the Textures folder that contains those 3 textures ...  ;)

Yep.
Does it matter in the greater picture..
..no.
All the rest is good and we are very thankful for all the work put in to make these additions.
Fly on.

I don't know if this will help, OLD DAD, but it's worth a try...since I'm also running BAT 4.2.1 Flashpoint and somehow my JU-87 pilots all have heads, I've added these to my original Luftwaffe Pilot Test archive:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/kop6qad3xhv4ft3/%2523_Pilots_Luftwaffe_Test.rar/file

JU-87B-2, D-3, D-5 & G-1

Hiya I used the one from here which im guessing is the latest as I cant find a newer one? its about 466MB?

Found this in my log;

INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file '3do/plane/Ju-87D-3/Arm1_D0.msh'

... well your log says you don't have the  "Arm1_D0.msh" file, and it is true it isn't in the D3 folder ...

You can find it in the B-2 folder but this mesh calls 2 Materials :

[Materials]
Glass2
Gloss1D0o

which are nowhere to be found ...  :-[

Yes, I had that error too. I found some "arms"-msh in another planes folder, ,??, And put them into the the duff planes folders..half worked.
I'm about to cut my losses on this thread soon, and just stick with the ones that work.
My observations: Barnseys head movement.. really is for Barnseys heads only, as pointed out. So enjoy them in his works.
These pilot upgrades are from 4.09..correct? So obviously they aren't going to work, at least without a lot of tinkering.
We put these into our #WAW and they seem to be haphazardly sitting in there.
Can we not designate them the same way as we use Desert, Summer,Winter folders.
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here but..

I would recommend you download the archive again (the link you mentioned is still valid, but the file now totals over 530 MB since I've added Mick's Ju-88C-6 textures).

https://www.mediafire.com/file/kop6qad3xhv4ft3/%2523_Pilots_Luftwaffe_Test.rar/file

I checked the hier_D1.him in the Ju-87D-3 plane folder and there's no reference to an "[Arm1_D0]".  However, when I checked the archive provided in another reply to this topic where a stick solution to the stock Ju-87 planes entitled "Stock Ju-87s New Pilots + Stick.rar" was included, I noted that the hier_D1.him in that archive does make reference to an "[Arm1_D0]".  When I tried merging the contents of that archive with my own, many of the Stukas refused to load, so I suspect that may be what's happened.

Try adding the archive I've uploaded to your BATMODS folder, ensure no other MODS referring to the Ju-87 variants are installed, add the contents to your #WAW folder via JSGME and let me know if you have any luck.  I've tested all of the Stukas in my own installation BAT 4.2.1 Flashpoint and they work.

Cheers

Many thanks.
It's all looking good.
I'd still like to have the desert pilots in the Stukas at some point but will bide my time until.
