Junkers G24he series
« on: August 04, 2022, 04:30:24 AM »

Hi all. (Post edited)
After a long break, I finally decided to make this release.
This project was started many years ago, but with help of the Mission_Bug (thank you so much Pete!) we are almost done with it.

So, Junkers G24he series.

Tested in 4122m  + SASmodact 5.3, BAT 4.2.1 and VP Modpack.

Why exactly G24he?
Because it was this option that had cockpit glazing.

Well, as a bonus, we decided to add a float version of the G24h1e and an armed version - the G24K30.

Stationary and credits in readme in arhive.

Skins for Ju-52 are almost completely compatible with G24he/G24h1e.

Some skins from Imme adapted by me for G24R30:

If I have not indicated someone in the credits - please let me know and I will add.

Successful flights!

I wish you a speedy PC recovery.
This spring, amid all the troubles, I was also left without a PC for a month.
I had to replace the motherboard.
Changed Asus to gigabyte...
For Yaro59
Thanks for info about BAT 4.2.1!
Added into 1st post.

All peace and tranquility!

Thanks, I got them flying after putting the Java files in the right place. I'll try some Ju52 skins as reccomended. I'll do a SCW single mission. The planes are in my BAT 4.2 TGA game.

cheers

David

Thanks gentlemen. :)
Glad everything is working.
About skins.
In this mod, the engines on the wing remain unskinable.
As for the G24K30, you need to add holes for shooters in the turrets on the skins.
I took the liberty of adding these holes on the default skin and adapted a couple of skins from Imme for the G24K30.
Of course, it would not be bad if one of the skin specialists would make a real adaptation in good quality.
Screenshots and link added to the first post.

Best wishes.

Thanks, I got them flying after putting the Java files in the right place.

Hello David, not sure what you mean by this but the folder 'Junkers G-24he_Update RC 3rd August 2022' is all you need, just add that into the mod folder of choice as with any other and add the entries. ;)

There are files in the download that are for eclipse users, you do not need them to run anything, they have been hashed and are in the Junkers folder already, those are your classfiles.

I only added the cockpit to these aircraft so if anyone wants to add the bombardier or gunners to the K model then they are ready set up if they have eclipse, there are also 'Filelist' entries for anyone who wants to take a look at the FM, I just left the Ju-52 entries but renamed the file so it is probably overpowered for the engines Alex fitted but everything I did can be considered just a placeholder for anyone else to further work on.

Ill health has kept me away from this stuff for a while I only did these to help Alex get them out there for you guys to use so I did just enough to make them usable, hopefully one of you can further develop the java or/and FM.

I thought about mapping the engines to a Junkers skin, unfortunately I have not looked at the practicalities of doing it but it might be possible to use the existing space, maybe not I will look but at the moment other things are in the way.

We should name Alex the Master of the Hier.Him, he seems to come up with all sorts of good stuff, great work mate, may it continue on. 8)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
